Update lihl rules
Okay.. so I have a few suggestions for the lihl rules.
1. need to include a max afk time - so all the drama after Igod can be avoided
2. there are many opinions about antistuck.. but antistuck shouldnt be allowed on your creeps to slow their attack or delay them.
3. swapping teams should be allowed in the rules - just if all players agree and if the elo advantage isn't too big - how big i let others judge.
But not allowing people to swap would suck.. as some know I personally used it the past 2 days. In other cases people cant agree or just wants to team.
It's already normal that people agree before they sign if there should be a swap

Re: Update lihl rules
There should be a rule that allows players to kick someone after 10 minutes of afking and giving dc penalty, also should allow people to decide if they want to extend the time based on the situation.
I have been seeing 3-4 waves of creeps going down middle sometimes, I'm pretty sure thats because people use antistuck to slow creeps attack. I believe that's not a fair way to use it, and would be nice to get rid of this use for anti stuck for such instances, as well as for lvl 31.
just like if everyone agrees that game mode can be changed, swapping teams should also be allowed if all are ok with it,

Re: Update lihl rules
1. I agree.
2. I agree. It should also not be used to let units go to the middle at the start of the wave so certain towers get more focused (this happens mainly with ToK).
3. I don't agree with this. The main point is this: over time everyone will be swapping if they want to be in each other's teams. So there are 4 Danes in 1 game, they wanna be together, 4 Americans they wanna be together, etc. This will just lead to a swamp of swapping because of everyone's preference. (and we all know how it goes, you will be considered bad mannered if you prevent people from swapping without a good reason) You just play with who you get assigned. Maybe we can make exceptions for if you have a LAN party for a few days like you and supersexyy had, but not under 'normal circumstances' in my opinion.
Edit; besides A-bal mode is the most fair mode, and fair games should be preferred over playing a game with your friends in the same team in the LIHL. Otherwise you can pub

Re: Update lihl rules
1. agree, updated antistuck rule is a good idea, we will revise it.
2. Agree that there are many opinions about antistuck, and Id be all for removing it completely, just using it to antistuck "stuck" creeps. Maybe we should do a new poll soon, to see how the community feels about this.
3. Allowing people to pick their teams would completely change the league. You both have valid points.

Re: Update lihl rules
u guys are so cute thinking that u can control people with max afk time lol... just makes me laugh and making assigned teams is bad idea its just gonna turn into pub matches again but its ur league so u can fuck it up as u like since it alrdy feels like pub games in lihl lets just make the full conversion then we can make a SUPER LIHL where u need double vouch and a blood test then it will be a secret pro only league with 12 people in it where u get a game once a day... GREAT IDEA!!!!

Re: Update lihl rules
i can't see the big prob with swapping.. it doesn't say anywhere you can't in the rules.. i saw @dweller making a post about his view.. but it isn't in the rules.
Remember that everybody has to agree with swapping - also that lihl should still be fun.. and if you are playing lan or just good friends with someone.. or don't get along with another i can't see that problem if the elo difference between the players swapped isn't higher than.. 100.
And of course a swap should be announced before signing

Re: Update lihl rules
1. Anything beyond 5 minutes is unreasonable really, especially when no reason is given.
2. Agreed - though I believe anti should be removed all together
3. Agreed - if all agree to it then I don't see why not. The higher elo team has a higher chance of winning, the low elo team will gain more.

That's just hilarious! Is it similar to Narnia, this SUPER LIHL you're speaking of? (;

Try and read the forfeit topic, it's quite a bit similar problems it would cause:

Re: Update lihl rules
It is not in the rules-section, but the section where the commands are explained, that is the "information section". In the information section it says how you should use !swap:
The last sentence says you should not swap between teams. It doesn't say "except if everybody agrees". I have also warned Marlboro_ and Arishok for swapping and answered to Drahque's question about this that you cannot swap under any circumstances, exactly as is said in the information part, so it should be known by now ... (I am not saying that this is fair if you for example LAN at each other, but this is what is clearly stated)
The game owner (usually the highest ELO player, and printed in brackets in the signed users list) must start the game (!start). If there are small issues like with the slots, then the game owner is responsible for fixing it (!swap 1 2 will swap slot s1 with slot s2). If someone doesn't like their color or a team agrees to change their lanes, !swap can also be used. However, !swap should not be used to switch players who are on different teams.

Re: Update lihl rules
You can't expect everybody to read all the threads on the forum.. put it in the rules or allow it as i suggested
And let's not forget that swapping has been used all the time through season 1 and still is.. I really can't see why we shouldn't add it to the rules instead of noone knowing if it's allowed or not.

Re: Update lihl rules
I can see your point. I have added to the miscellaneous part in the rules to also read the "information" thread.
Anyway, the term 'auto-balanced' is kind of self-explanatory, so I don't know why you assumed that manual swapping between teams was allowed.
Edit: In season 1 I have seen it happening 1x and I warned the players for that. In season 2 we have allowed you and supersexyy to swap, being too "lose" with the rules. Supersexyy got punished for that by the higher admins, so I am going to be more strict on it now again.

We do expect every one to read the information and rules posts. These are stickies and are required information for everyone.
1) Max AFK time? Anything more than 5 minutes being afk is unreasonable. We do not need to write a new rule for this. There has already been president set.
2)
Re: Antistucking units is against the rules and has been for a long time...
7. ANTI-STUCK USE
- Players may use anti stuck on their own towers to catch leaks from their partner's side.
- Players may use anti stuck on their own towers or their team mate's towers at the middle (near the king) to better catch leaks.
- Players must use anti stuck on creeps that are legitimately stuck on the map.
- Players may not use anti stuck to steal kills from their partners purposefully.
- Players may not use anti stuck to delay any spawned unit from attacking. <-----------------------------------------------
- Players may not use anti stuck to delay their units from teleporting back to the king for any reason.
- Players may not use anti stuck on the enemies portion of the map
3)
"!swap should not be used to switch players who are on different teams."
No swapping. It's in the information section. It has been this way since day 1 of the lihl.

Re: Update lihl rules
So going afk <5 means that ANY player can demand a votekick.
The afk/kicked player will get a dc penalty.
The game will be played on as if it was a dc I assume. Pre/after lvl 20 rules.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Antistucking creeps isn't allowed - and what about what BA suggested.. Is it allowed to use in the middle lvl 31?
Swapping between teams have been used minimum 200 games through the seasons.
All of the mods have been using it - not only supersexyy.
There haven't been any complaints from the community and I'm sure that a poll with show the same if that's where we end up. Most players seems to understand that lihl isn't only a league but also about having fun.

Re: Update lihl rules
I really can't see the big problem here.
As long the swapping isn't being abused to gain elo. Every time I've seen a swap it has always been used to swap the 2 most equal elo players from each team.
