Game deletion

Re: Game deletion
Yes teller, if only the world was ideal. Just because not enough people vote !yes, doesn't mean the gameruiner shouldn't get kicked. Just like the game I have been referring to. That's why I added the suggestion in my last post.
Re: Game deletion
Hahaha GM are going to have headaches lool. Anyway I don't think game deletion is a solution but maybe banning people who don't kick game ruiner (when that one clearly threw the game) more harshly could be more deterrent.
Re: Game deletion
We appreicate your attitude, way to go! Instead of throwing out trivial comments, you should take your time to tell us why you don't think game deletion is a solution, and then come up with another solution. Those who doesn't vote to kick gameruiners are already being banned.
My suggestion is to;
- ban the gamethrower
- ban the one who doesn't vote (after being informed in allchat that there is a gameruiner)
- Delete the game only if the maphack-team won the game. IF the opposing, non-maphacking team still manages to win, they get to keep their stats. The 4 other players on the maphackers team, get's 0 elo for that game, if they lose the game.
Note: the player who refused to vote, should get the loss of elo if he lost the game, or 0 elo if his team won.
Re: Game deletion
As you said yourself, this is not a perfect world, therefor i see no reason to start deleting games
I don't get it, "The world isn't perfect, so we shouldn't improve ENT games".

It wouldn't be that hard to remove elo loss when we're banning for gamethowing.
We already do ban people who refuse to kick. I guess we could make it harsher, but I doubt it would help. Most people don't even know they are abusing votekick. That's why it's a 1 day ban. A short ban that lets them know what they did wrong
Re: Game deletion
Lol, when did I ever say we should delete 90% of the games? I said this should be used only in the most extreme cases of game ruining. I don't think that's 90% of games.
Re: Game deletion
It seems like this agreements has already made up his mind. Instead of acknowleding the suggestion, and discussing my latest one -
- he is bent on dismissing it without further questions.

Re: Game deletion
I didnt read every post and maybe i repeat some things, but imo games should not be deleted.
I know its annoying to play with a game ruiner and i understand your suggestion and the intention behind it.
Deleting the loser ELO sounds first like a good idea, but its not a good solution imo because
at which point, you define, someone ruined a game enough to delete the loser elo and what are with games with mh´er into(or other rule breaker), which get longer banned than a game ruiner?
It's a game, just win your elo back.

Re: Game deletion
Why shouldn't we remove the effect that people who intentionally lose games have on our stats? @Hunter91, the difference is that mhers dont purposely lose games, so it would be very hard to determine whether the losers in that case deserved the loss, or if the MH actually gave a big enough advantage to turn a loss into a win for the winning side.

but its like Agreements said they unbalance the game too, how far the influence is usually depends on how well the player is(many player dont watch the mini map).

Re: Game deletion
Not adding since updating one player's ELO score means the ELO score of every player in every game that player has played since the game that's up for deletion will have to be modified. Similarly, for each of those players, the players they play with also will have to be changed in future games. Not really feasible, considering that people may have had stats transfers and such since then.

Re: Game deletion
I agree with uakf.b this should not be implemented... Its too drastic a measure (imo) and changes way too much to make right the like 0.1% of games where this situation is even relevant...
Re: Game deletion
It'd just add confusion to the stats. Especially if this affected people who didn't post to request the game deletion. Even if they gain a win, it'd be kinda random and confusing.
