Top players list

Re: Top players list
1st: Saying it is different in that it makes the game faster but doesn't give a specific team an advantage
2nd: Once again saying that it's a faster version of dota
3rd: Nothing to do with differences. I say they are different modes of the same game yet different modes can be drastically different.
4th: I'm not saying the two modes are similar, but instead saying that ar is more different than apem is to ap. Not relevant.
I agree with you that the game modes are very different. But isn't the entire point of game modes to have different gameplay?
Easymode is factually different than normal mode. This isn't even opinion based because there are great differences in the game, like more gold, more exp, and weaker towers. So putting something factually incorrect (that EM is just like normal dota) in the No option is misrepresentation.

Re: Top players list
You asked for quotes, and they were pasted. Are you still not satisfied?
You seem to be more interested in turning and twisting, rather than discussing the actual subject at this point.
The recent posts from the easymoders has shown that they don't think easymode differs that much from standard, and therefore they don't want to split the two.
Also, if you watch the the two options, they are perfectly opposite to one another. Try to gather people here instead of wasting your energy on a pointless matter.
Back on topic: Six votes so far ain't that much. Let's try to get more people commenting on this topic, aswell as giving their vote.
How about you go spend your energy on telling people to discuss this matter here?
Edit: Going to bed. Please don't make me waste more time discussing this pointless matter. In total six people have given their votes, and they did that fine. Stick to the topic, thank you

Re: Top players list
I addressed the quotes, I'm hardly "turning and twisting". The quotes you pasted were simply irrelevant to what I said. And it's not a pointless matter because the NO option is factually incorrect, yet that fact doesn't mean it should be split into two statpages. When you give an opinion in the poll options it implies that everyone who votes that way has that opinion. And I don't believe that they two modes are the same, and it's kind of annoying that you imply I believe something that's just not true because of how I view the splitting into two stat pages.
Re: Top players list
No one is debating the fact that there is an innate differance between em and non-em modes. We are basically saying that it is just a waste of time/stupid to create seperate leaderboards because the people (like myself) would be at the top of each leaderboard regardless... We play stacks with smurfs that could smack any pubs no matter what mode... To suggest that the em players are worse than people who focus on non-em is just a stupid statement. You say that ap is so much harder and i've checked your history its all ap, well bs, play me in an apem and then an ap. whatever rules you want aka full teams or solo or lane wise whatever. Ap and apem, if you beat me either game ill support this idea since clearly modes would have been the differance.

Re: Top players list
That's one of the problems with allowing several accounts. People pubstacks in easymode, to gain cheap elo. When they finally reach the top, they stop playing on their main accounts. Instead, they make new accounts, and go "elosniping". Their main goal seems to be tracking those who are around 2k elo, pubstack 5 mates against 4 randoms. I have experienced this, and it is utterly cowardly behaviour, which proves their defensive mindset.
Would it be interest if I made a new topic in suggestions - allowing every user only one account each (like in DLG)?

Re: Top players list
Now that we have both Ent and BGN players, an inhouse league with our forum names as user name will be cool.
We can eliminate ELO snipers and have a true picture of all the decent players.

Yeah, I think that's the real problem with the stats right now.
However it has already been suggested that we should have one account per player and it was denied. I'm not really sure there's much we can do against this.
Re: Top players list
By only allowing 1 account per IP (I'm assuming that's what you are suggesting) you limit players that legitly have more than one person playing per IP address (like brothers, internet cafe's, etc.)

there is an ih league?
Re: Top players list
Yeah, I see that one. Although, when people want unban, they always blame their brother/"brother". It can easily be solved with webchat etc. Cafe's on the other hand....
I totally agree with Qtrinity, as long as the ones responsible for allowing players in, are certain that people aren't joining with more than one account.
I feel like something needs to be done, whether it is reviving the IH league with a vouch-system, or seperating the statslists.

I don't see how separating the statlist will help vs smurfers. That's a whole different topic.
Only allowing 1 account per person was discussed and rejected before, so I don't think that's gonna happen. DotA inhouse league would be cool.
Re: Top players list
This topic wasn't meant to solve that problem originally. Differing the lists will for a starter, hopefully, make the decent players who play easymode at this moment, start to play standard dota. Or, they can continue on easymode, that's their decision.
The whole point is that standard dota takes more skill to master.
If one idea was rejected before, doesn't mean it won't happen. I'm interested in the communitys thought on this.
Also the staff of course!
