I just read this post now. Good job, Beep what you did is the only right thing!

For the rest, I couldn't believe what I read with regarding to iight's responses about the AFK thing, I'm glad you set that straight lol, it was more embarassing than that post where I was trying to be funny (or at least as embarassing) :P

Lastly, I thought the main reason to start the LIHL had to do with sportsmanship. I particularly disliked pyc in this game with that regard. I can imagine that the 'lies' comment are to be taken as a joke, but when Diablo_ realized it wasn't a warchief he was there to say he shouldn't draw in a dead serious manner, even though they knew that he was afk now (btw duckie said he built 1 80g unit later). Remember they were only 5 minutes into the game, it wasn't a huge sacrifice to draw for sportsmanship's sake.

I don't think he should be punished for that, but it gives some food for thought exactly how mannered and forthright LIHL has become.

PP seems like part of game, and in this circumstance i still deem it ok. i think PP punishment (which is -15 ELO to PP) is ok if they refuse to draw, and no other way to get there as admins being obstinate. ridiculous that punishment is given out then for d/c, if PP is unvouch worthy then why take ELO away from dc. (i just d/ced, and lost 15 ELO on lvl 9..)

Lol in fact eldryan is right. In the current system you are allowed to pp on pain of an elo reduction :P

That is a very nice observation Mick, and the reason why I got so upset about this game is not just the game ruining, but that Pyc said liess as if I was lying about the game being gameruined and was trying to fuck them over by getting them to draw. It really made me think twice about if the lihl is as mannered and lives up to good sportsmanship as it should. ( you can quote the aim of the lihl here, in the lihl rules)

So I saw 3 people not living up the lihl etiquette here, 1 gameruiner and 2 people who did not show good sportsmanship.

Edit: I also do not want Pyc and Diablo_ to be punished for it, but I think that they should know that it was not good sportsmanship.

At BeepBoopBeep: It is nice to see that you took the thread seriously, and would like to know if my elo loss would be reversed in this case.

I get so tired of this accusations that we are not sportsmanlike. Every thread we make about sportsmanship we get those comments, yet it is always me (or us with duckie) who are fair and honest and the others not. I can give you links if you want. I have never (again never: once more NEVER) been accused of anything that was related to cheating or any other thing of unsportsmanship. So drop that charade. Yes, we accuse others. In this case pyc wasn't forthright and iight said duckie lied about 10x (in other words, iight called duckie a liar for 10x, srsly wtf????), and said he should be ashamed of himself several. I find it beyond believe and completely outrageous that a player who takes his time to report a gameruiner in a fair and honest fashion gets completely TRASHED by an admin by being called a liar and someone who should be ashamed of himself and then does not look seriously into the justified case duckie has had. I find that pretty unforgivable for an admin. In my opinion, iight is lucky duckie was so forgiving, I would not have been satisfied with a simple apology.

And furbolg, lol, you ruined the game at level 10 yesterday because you would rather play with someone else than us. Great sportsmanship dude.

You are pushing it, iight already apologized, and now you are exaggerating. If you seriously get this butt hurt over something like this then I take back what I first said.

Even I feel offended by what you are writing, and I'm not involved, just take that into consideration.

Yes I am pushing it because every time I say something people go personal at me. And iight went personal on duckie too saying he lied so often. It's just fucking shit to have defend yourself all the time, because there are some people here who are not interested in the truth but only in their own position. Look Fail, I got another example of what iight did in this topic:

A quote from iight

(01:13 / Allied) LIHLDiabloduck: u shoulda started with frost
(01:14 / Allied) LIHLDiabloduck: much better
Guard would have held lvl 1. Ari sold guard after Donald told him he should have started with a different tower. Bad advice.

If you read just one line further in the chat log, you see this:

(01:12 / Allied) Arishok: mermaid
(01:13 / Allied) LIHLDiabloduck: u shoulda started with frost
(01:14 / Allied) LIHLDiabloduck: much better
(01:19 / Allied) LIHLDiabloduck: but tool ate no

So he did not give this advice at all! And iight READ that chat and still tries to get this in his advantage. This can only mean 2 things:

1. iight is not able to read properly (just 1 line beneath) and therefore is completely unsuited as an admin.
2. iight does not want to read properly and abuses his power position for his personal agenda.

If you experience this kind of situations OVER AND OVER again, yes, it gets too much. Then don't come saying I am the bad guy, because the admins ACCUSE ME AND DUCKIE over and over again. And always on the wrong grounds, and meanwhile the discussion is only about settling those false accusations (in this thread alone: lying, giving bad advice, unsportsmanship) And then we have to be the good guys and don't be unreasonable??? We get claims all the times and are always defending. Come on, seriously, look at all the patience I have shown and look at all the shit I've got thrown at me (and the same for Duckie)..

Fail, remember I am not the admin, just a player. Shouldn't the admins be the wisest instead of the players?

(Btw, I know this is a small thing, but all those small things together are a big thing: the admins just show no competence at all. I could live with it if they weren't so judgmental about others, but when they start calling us liars, giving bad advice, and that we should be ashamed of ourselves while the only ones who are at fault are the admins themselves that goes a bridge too far!)

Look, I already apologized for the way I initially handled it. Then I reviewed the replay again and posted my findings about the game ruin and TK allegations.

C'mon man.. really? lol....

MickeyTheMousie wrote:2. iight does not want to read properly and abuses his power position for his personal agenda.

What abuse of power? What personal agenda? lol...

I just don't see why this is getting dragged out. The appropriate action was taken, Arishok is on a 3 day ban. I have nothing more to add on this topic.

Alright, iight I know you have apologized, and I appreciate that. But read this thing back. Duckie comes here with a completely legitimate question about game ruining (which is approved) and the first 2.5 page of posts are about whether duckie is a liar. You can't blame duckie for this, not me, but only the admins. My question is now: can this fucking end now? What can we buy from an apology? It is just completely improper to call someone a liar, especially as an admin. It takes 1.000 'I love you' s to compensate for 1 "I hate you", if you know what I mean. It is just uncalled for for an admin to say someone lies 10x, and this kind of thing keeps happening.

With those kind of responses you only feed hatred in the LIHL-community. You can see this by Furbolg.'s response, who really thinks we are bad sportsmen. I can't blame him because even the admins accuse us of those kind of things (people tend to think that where there is smoke, there is fire: so if we are accused so often something must be true)

I am pushing this now because I am so fed up with it, I don't want me, duckie (or anyone for that matter) to be called a whiner, a liar, bad sportsman or a poor advice giver anymore, and if I see admins do anything of this kind again I will not hesitate to take proper actions.

Feel free to just note the point I am making and not respond to it anymore.

How do you guys manage to make that kind of mess in a post?

Things are slightly simplir than what it seems, and I think right now duckie and mickey keep pushing it more than they should against iightfyre ( he made a mistake and apologised we should be able to go on )

Arishok wasn't focused, completely on keyboard level1 ( the inability to check timer in order to sell and rebuild is a mistake on his behalf ) and pretty much the game was over.

Duckie doesnt say anything hoping that arishok will be able to recover properly , by spending all his gold on towers but he arishok couldn't catch up. Pretty much everyone would agree that the game there was over.

Duckie says in chat arishok was afk, instead of fully explaining that he didnt build properly ( for x-y reasons) on lvl1 and asks for a draw

Arishok's game is completely blown leaking every level and eventually deciding to forfeit the game level 10 ( as himself stated for not healing)

This is the general idea.

However Duckies original chatlog diverts the attention from what happened, because as I said earlier he didn't explain properly to his opponents what was going on.

iightfyre bases his original thoughts on the chatlog as well ending up in a mixed kind of thoughts, however duckie's post also lacks a bit of proper organisation in order to make himself a bit more serious, rather than appearing as a "whiner" ( as someone mentioned earlier ). He acknowledges his mistake later and apologises.

A proper ban was determined for the intentional TK ( arishok forfeit ) on level 10. You guys should consider this particular case closed.

So the lack of proper communication is the reason for all this hatred in the post.

My only question is, what happens in the future of any case someone is afk / late to build lvl1 and game is ruined? It is a rare incident but at this point the decision for this case doesn't seem to take this into account.

ps: I see a lot of hatred going on since the pub elo races. You guys should get over them and start acting slightly more mature. For example I have not seen duckie or dweller acting unsportsmanly yet in lihl, and even though I recently had an argument with furbolg, he did draw for me when I asked, in order to not miss the tourney, yes that was proper display of sportmanship as well.

Thanks Feor for your post. I pushed hard, yes, but I hope I finally got into their heads that we are not bad people. Sometimes a feeling of unjustice gets the better of u ;)

I think Feor's summary of what happened here is the right one (even when he is not so positive about me or duckie :P). Thanks for putting it in perspective :) I will leave the answer to your question to our beloved admins (I really love them when they are not making a mess of things! Esp iight ofc, we just happen to have a love-hate relationship) :P

Agreed! I did make a mess of things!! But we are past that I hope and back to fun gaming :D - I do have love for mickie of course as well ;)

Yes, we have to handle lvl 1 fails case by case to assure that it doesn't get abused.
