ENT Connect Smurf question

Is it possible to use a name that is not your forum name on ENT Connect? I know it says on the troubleshooting thread that desyncs will happen if you use a different name, but can I, for example, validate an account using ENT Link on the forums, then use that name in ENT Connect?

Well, the desyncs happen because it forces you to use your forum username. So other players see you as your forum username even if you see yourself with a different name.

^This applies to GProxy++ as well. Except the only difference is that instead of your forum username, it'd be your battlenet username.

My guess is this is why ENT Connect would get a desync too (since it uses gproxy)

I'm pretty sure it says they might happen, not they will happen; since it depends on the map. If the map uses the username to do things then it'll desync.
