Does a lag Prog exist?
This does not happen often. And I have a great connection and rarely ever drop, unless a severe snowstorm or the like in my area... Does a drop program exist for bnet? And if so is there any way to detect it? I have had a few games, not too many to rage about, but a few, that it seems there is always a massive shit talker and he is losing, then out of nowhere I get a massive lag and kicked out. I can whisper immediately after, WC3 does not close, my internet is running fine, but i dc just long enough for a vote on the game? Can anyone tell me what is up?

Re: Does a lag Prog exist?
This already happened with me too. Exactly the same situation that you described.
Exist some programs that drop people from games at battle.net (that is sure). But i don't know if has any way to detect it. I heard sometimes can be detect depending the way was done.
Sometimes is just a battle.net glitch, but some times is a hacker program.

Re: Does a lag Prog exist?
In your situation, 7 out of 10 times, it's a drophack, and yes, they do exist. Out of the games that this did happen, did the person say something in private chat, or was there a delay of reaction time on their part?
The other 3 would be the occasional (and unfortunate) battle.net/bot disconnection, possible desync, or external interference (if you're playing on wifi)

You're not the only one. I've only had it happen to me once, and I just laughed in the guy's face.

Re: Does a lag Prog exist?
I do believe that lag program exists but i doubt some, if any at all, work on the current 1.26 patch. It's not like anyone would currently be developing one right now since WC3 is a dying game.
However what i do think you should do is try using GProxy++.This tool helps prevents disconnection in-game regardless of whether the problem is server sided or client sided.

You can be doubtful, but it doesn't mean that you are right. While Wc3 is a dying game, there are at least three, one public and two private (possibly more), that work perfectly on the current patch.
Also, even though GProxy++ does help by providing a second chance at reconnecting on a game and a possible defense against the public program, it won't stand a chance against the two private programs.

Re: Does a lag Prog exist?
ive been playing dota forever
there definitely was a drop hack way back when. and if its still around i cant confirm. all i can tell you is i lan with my brother and every now and then i'll be owning someone and then when i get my 6th kill (example) on someone and i all a sudden lose connection to bnet or lag out of the game then lose connection, and my brother doesnt, makes me believe its still around.

Re: Does a lag Prog exist?
Yeah, I made that post last night. Not trying to say it was rampant, or it even happened to me a a lot. Hence me saying "a few" and "nothing to rage about". It was just a general question. I had a bad game and when I used to foots people talked about a drop program as well. Wanted to hear other people to see if it was just a myth or there was actually something out there.
The game if you are interested though is http://s1.clanent.net/replay/view_repla ... 351509.w3g
Now I look back at the replay, the player ibenz lagged and when reconnected with gproxxy, so I think I will get it now.

Same here. If you looked harder, you would find the pathetic public one. The private ones will never be on there, because they're, well, private.

Re: Does a lag Prog exist?
There're drop and lag hacks.
For the lag hack, I can give you a replay example if the OP wants to see it.

Lag hack: http://blinkgaming.net/forums/topic/146 ... ?hl=lagger
I experienced it myself many times. It's impossible to do something. Only way is actually kicking/votekicking the accused person.
