Hi everyone!
I would like to suggest legalizing Fogclicker.
Why?
Simply because the huuuuge amount of maphackers in wc3 because Blizzard doesnt give a shit about wc3 anymore, they rather focus on WoW which brings them millions every month due to the subscriptions - so its up to us, users and mods alike to find and get rid of these asshole-cheaters.
Sure - the Fogclicker isnt super-safe as it sometimes shows unlegit clicks the split-second you get into/out of fog, but honestly - how much of a difference does that make in a game.
In my honest opinion, just make it banable to abuse the feature, but to use it to counter mhs it should be allowed.

@argulle
Moved topic to suggestions.
Fcd usage is allowed in all other games except on DotA and NWU. Why? Because Fcd provides information players should not have, giving them warnings and positional hints of heroes and objects like ward locations. I understand its good uses as mh detection, but it is also a third party program which gives an unfair advantage players should not have.

Hi @Nabo !
Im curious, how do they give you warnings? Sure, the occational time ive gotten a Fogclick-alert when i was backing out from a lane, which Could make me suspect that a bara was charging me but how big of a chance is that?
How does it hints of wards? That someone Could select me at a runelocation when i pass out of fog?

Re: Legalize It!
When something is fogclicked, there is a ping in the minimap = approximate location of target/object.

Re: Legalize It!
It doesn't matter if you use a version that pings or not. Operating on the assumption that no one is maphacking in a given game, if your fog click detector reports that you have been fog clicked near somewhere where you believe that the enemy should not have any sight of you, then you KNOW that the enemy just recently had sight somehow because of the nature of fog clicks. You can thus deduce that either there is a hero or ward nearby. Near rune locations, for example, it's likely that there is a ward in typical spots which you can then abuse the information to destroy.
While not providing as much information as a typical map hack, in many games fog click detector acts identically to map hack by providing significant information to the hacking player. Thus, in these games, it is prohibited.

There is? But the fogclicker i used never showed that.. might also be that i often forgot too check minimap..
For me the warning just came up, not a ping.

The time ive been using fcd it has never given me any significant info during the game.
More like "Ok, im at roshan and i was fogclicked. Maphack" Then suddenly everyone comes. I check the replay and wierdly you can notice that its always the same player who initiates "Lets go roshan for no reason whatsoever"
But forbidding the FCD we fair players have no tools against the maphackers, where they can change IP, fake nicks, and be back in a matter of minutes with dodging..
Imagine USA going to war against kuwait.
Kuwait uses AK-47s and the American soldiers are only allowed to use knives.
Kuwait has 100 000 soldiers with Ak-47 and the americans have 10 000 000 soldiers with knives. Who wins?..

Re: Legalize It!
FCD gives you plenty of helpful information if you know how to interpret it which obviously is unfair.
