LTD mid to high elo bot

Postby Akitos » Mon Jul 07, 2014 9:19 am

My suggestion is pretty simple, shut down the no-cross bot and give us a mid to high elo bot that requires at least 1,2k elo to play on it.

Reason?

Well, first of all the no-cross bot is a pure waste.

Image

I think this screenshot speaks for itself... I guess there are often not more than 1-2 games played each day on the no-cross bot, sometimes even none. Hell i've seen this duration counter going up to 20 hours. Why do we keep this bot alive?

Second reason is simply that i personaly know alot of players that would highly appreciate a bot where it doesn't happen that you have a perfectly balanced game with everyone at least being on somewhat decent elo to then have a 600 elo asian join and make everyone dodge. Also i think 1,2k+ isn't too much to ask for since it's not high at all, yet it would filter out some of the newer/inexperienced players, and especially such that doesn't care about win or loose at all (500-1k elo and asians in particular).

*I know it may sound a little racist to outsiders that i mention asians this way but lets be honest, everyone that plays LTD on a somewhat decent and serious level is aware that most asians are below 1k elo and are frkn terrible at the game, mostly because they literally never communicate at all. 50% of them send every round and don't give a damn shit on what you or your team may say and i personaly have no idea why people like that play on ENT when they could just play on BK/UC/BGN where it's meta to send every round.

Third reason: There is nothing to loose. Even if it may not be played so much i doubt it can be worse than the no-cross bot currently is Image

So yeah, all i'm asking for is a bot that filters certain people out, instead of having a no-cross bot that is barely being played. The bot could also just have 1,1k requirement, would be ok with me too, just not 1k and below...

We have had several high elo bots afaik and none of them have been succesfull after LIHL was created
I like the idea but it doesn't work when the server is up and running
Having a 1050+ elo bot is imo the best mid-high elo bot as you need activity from the start to make it work
or maybe just +10 won games or smth. like that (or both)

Conclusion: your idea is good but the server wont be active unless you make it 1050 or 1100 MAXIMUM

1050 is fine with me, it would be enough to filter out 500-900 elo guys.

This will fail definitely based on previous failures hosting Ltd HR bots with different restrictions. Only time HR worked was before lihl if I recall. Get more lihl games going if you want higher quality games. Pub will be pub.

I think adding another LTD bot would be pointless, public player's are comfortable with the current bot's and adding another would go basically unnoticed.

That pub players are comfortable with how it is right now is not true, at least not for the ones i know, including myself. Also i think it's at least worth a try since it can't turn out worse than the no-cross bot. Also previous attempts wasn't 1050+ wasn't they?

Rather make the no cross bot a play ground, in the sence that it is not elo based, you can bring your frineds, play, fool around 2v2, 3v3, 4v4. make a non based elo bot, and use the current no cross bot to do this, make a playground, for (us) kids who like to fool around, and make silly stuff, I suggested this before, but then did the no cross bot come and i just got away from the idear, how ever, im sure its not alot of changes needed to remake the no cross bot to something like this

I do not see this suggestion promising or convincing.

Archiving.
