currently starts with 6 or 7 people. 3v4 isn't optimal..

Yeah it happens, the thing is that it's rare that 8 people join a game in a short period of time, so the autostart of 6 is good so people don't have to wait long. At the same time, all player slots should be open because 4v4s do happen on occasion. The best solution would be to make the game only autostart when there are 6 or 8 people, and not 7, but I'm not sure uakf.b is willing to take the time to code an adjustment like that.

Otherwise this isn't a big balance issue; teams with less people get more experience and more gold per person if the team doesn't pool(rare in pubs), therefore making it possible that it might be advantageous to have less people on your team.

it happens a lot that it starts with 6 players. however, having 3 summoners and 3 heroes obviously puts one team at a disadvantage. i think it wouldn't be too hard to say start with 6, dont start with 7, start with 8.

Seems like votestart is already enabled for 2v2. Seems like it's not a huge problem.
