Naruto manga starts at 1 and is currently at chapter 510. At some point in the manga, naruto went away with Jiraiya and trained for 3 years, when he comes back it becomes technically shippuden, but there is only one naruto manga. The television shows however split this difference creating a new series called naruto shippuden to follow the manga further. Mangas are almost always ahead of their television counterparts.

The manga is at 663 dude so I dont know where the hell you're reading your manga. Also the TV show has alot of filler episodes with utakata and Guren the crystal user which would each take up about 10-15 episodes each and those are just 2 of them there are a lot more in the shippuden i must add which are just ridiculous.

TV is never close to the manga, they're making sure of that. TV is the biggest trash anyway, I would recommend to watch it online (narutoget.com).

Not only that but the dubbed versions are terrible. At least on Narutoget its subtitled and the characters sound the way I imagine them too. FYI Narutoget also links you to fairytail.tv, which is coming back ^, as well as Bleach after Aizen was killed and DB. You can also find the latest chapters for the manga on Mangastream.com which link to Narutoget as well.
On a side note to the fillers, the most recent ones with Pein and the beginning of Akatsuki as well as Kakashi was pretty good IMO
