I hope this is the right place to post this. Its been on my mind so I figured I would post where all can read / comment.
Is there any way to get an ELO refund when a game is ruined by a TK that results in a ban? This has happened to me numerous times and I have lost a lot of ELO as a result.
For instance, if a player in LTD pauses during king heal resulting in a loss and a ban on the user - is there anyway to flag the victim's team as winners? Or better yet, just make the entire game a !draw?
Insight and suggestions and possible action is appreciated! Thanks for your time with this

Re: ELO refund when game is ruined?
well i know there is ways to get your elo back if uakf.b deems your situation constitutes said "refunding". however keep in mind that people have had their games ruined many times a day. for instance in dota could i ask for elo back because someone dropped? or sold all their items and bought 300 wards? probably not. im not an LTD player so im not sure exactly what you are talking about but keep in mind that if everyone who had their game ruined asked to have their elo/stats returned then uakf.b would probably have to dedicate a bulk of his time to it.
but all that being said. i do agree with you in the respect that if you lose a game because as a direct result of someone breaking the rules then you should get refunded if you fill out a post on the forum like you did. but this is all my opinion and in no way reflects how uakf.b or Enterprise as a whole feels about this.

Re: ELO refund when game is ruined?
Yeah, I am only talking about refunds in games where the offense results in a ban. So I don't think it would be too time consuming as it would only apply when a ban request is processed. For instance, I have played 2000 games of LTD (sigh) and I have only had game ruiner w/ bans happen about 4-5 times. And I am quick to report the offenders. So I think this would be a small % of games that it applies to.
Does this clarify and/or make more reasonable sense?

so are you saying that you would like us to replace the stats for all the players in a game in which we have banned someone for game ruining?

I don't support this.
Where would you draw the line? Should we re-imbursed every game with a map hacker? Every game with a leaver? Every game with 'Game Ruining'. Note that 'Game Ruining' comes with varying severity.

Re: ELO refund when game is ruined?
sexyy makes a good point. There would be a grey area I guess. How can u prove even with a TK that one team would have won if there was no offenses? For instance, if a player paused during a kill heal - how can you prove that it was even nessesary for a win? Thus, should the victims team be entitled for ELO reimbursement? There would be a lot of debate here I am sure.
Thanks for the insight, I figured that I would open a topic to discuss it a bit but after thinking it through, I think the current system shouldn't be changed. A ban on the offender is a greater penalty than the ELO changes.
Wanted to get this topic in the open anyway - thanks for taking the time to clarify the decision making on this. Much appreciated as always

Re: ELO refund when game is ruined?
Another reason as well to consider: If we refund ELO, we would also have to take away ELO from the winners. And even if someone "game ruined" it might not mean it gave the other team an advantage. So even though they won, they would have their ELO reversed as well and then we would have many more complaints about that in my opinion.

Re: ELO refund when game is ruined?
Wasn't aware that the only way to refund would be to reverse ELO on the winners. Good point again. Thanks for further clarification!
Re: ELO refund when game is ruined?
It wouldn't be the only way, it would just be what we would do, imo. It wouldn't quite be fair to reverse the loss but not the gain
