My suggestion is to make not healing banable NOT only when he states it in chat that he WILL heal but then doesn't but in general if you simply don't heal you have to pay the price - having such a simple mechanic in the game that defines if you live or die and people still can't seem to figure out to heal in time SHOULD imo be banable
Yes you can have lagg n such but unless it's 100% clear that it wasn't YOUR fault I think it should be banable not healing as we have no clue wth. is going on in your head
Could be teamkilling, could be elo boosting the other team could be fapping to some shit on your other screen - we don't know and it shouldn't be relevant
To clearify the rule I want it to be "If healorder are stated and the one to heal next doesn't heal ban can be applied" or something like that.
Regarding the ban duration I would say 1-6 hours for first timers (depending on what you think would be fair) and then growing with 50% at every ban
Having someone not healing costing you "x" amount of minutes gaming, trying and working hard for your ELO and then having someone not healing ruins ALL the fun about LTD and I suggest we start clearing up that healing should be taken serious just as I hope all try taking the game somewhat serious

Re: LTD not healing banable
Make me a LTD mod only and then I'll do it yes - if that makes the gaming experience better for those who cares then yes I think it's worth it
Re: LTD not healing banable
Every single player missing heal from time to time for a different reasons. i understand that you used to play LIHL, where missed heal is unusual thing, but should we really ban 100% of ent18 players atleast once? It will hurt alot of innocent players that really didn't want to miss heal, increase number of ban requests by insane amount. Looks like more cons than pros to me. Imagine insta unvouching for not healing in lihl. same stuff
Re: LTD not healing banable
Here's the thing- how do YOU know if it was a missed heal or not? There is a delay time, and a lot of time when I check for heals, there's at LEAST one holy bolt cast that didn't register. I don't agree with this. I agree with not healing being bannable if the game in question, the person was attempting to "ruin" the game or saying !ff, !draw, i give up, etc.. and then proceeding to not heal as his or her actions show he has stopped trying. There's also a problem with people who honestly just suck at timing, or people double healing. That being said, should we also ban those who double heal? It'd kinda make the same amount of sense.

Re: LTD not healing banable
Exactly Maria - how do we know if it was a missed heal or not? the point is not that people TRY to ruin the games for the others the point is that they DO - not healing = loosing the game is in my book the same as leaving the game as you directly or indirectly looses the game for your entire team
Lets not mix up this with double healing as it is clearly not the same
An example of why it isn't the same
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=37663
This case the only reason he gets 5 days ban is because he leaves at the very end right before healing - if he left any other time in the game he would just get autoban - same goes for double healing - it's not as critical to double heal as to not healing as it's not ending the game

Mariah.
And, that's the point- you can't judge whether or not someone attempted to heal just by the game itself. The DRM shows that they DO attempt to heal, but the timing was off or the delay kicked in as they were healing- which I see more often than not.
As stated in another thread, I don't think we should be adding more rules so quickly, as we'll lose a good portion of players due to the amount of bans we have been enforcing. We've added at least 3 to 4 in the past six months that already impact almost every player of LTD.

Re: LTD not healing banable
lol sorry MariaH ^_^
As you seem to have more experience than me in this matter I'll let it go for now and return with this topic in some months when no new rules has been added
Unless someone has something to add you can archive this

Re: LTD not healing banable
@Krumme
Hallo.
I have played A LOT of ltd games in the past few years. Unless I play with people I know, I meet newbs/noobs who tend to "not" heal whether intentional or not.
We only ban in cases where evidence is blatant or clear. If someone states on chat he wont heal or will ruin the game and results to not healing = bannable. But, if someone was playing decent during the game and misses heal, we cannot be certain he was trying to ruin = ban cannot be legit. As Mariah stated, there are cases of delay. Usually most delays are not super duper long (within 0.1-2 seconds). Therefore, there are times i see people's heal being "logged" on drm right after the king dies = delayed. In such cases, the evidence shows that the player "tried" to heal, but timing was off = no ban. What happened is one thing, intentions is another.
We dont ban by simply what "may" have happened. We ban by poof or evidence. A player's intention can be a thin line sometimes, but it is usually clear when someone tries to game ruin.
If you wish to help the staff with ban requests and appeals, you may apply for staff yourself. We need people who are willing to commit their time. If you wish to simply discuss about our policies, as a community member, you are free to open a discussion such as this on the forum.
