Choose what servers

Postby FireSComplexN7 » Mon Jan 13, 2014 5:18 am

When I first started using ENT bot, I noticed i have been getting of people who can't speak English.

It would be cool to choose which realms that ENT bot hosts to. I originally thought when I was selected US West, it was hosting on US West.

This is going to sound crazy but you might look into trying google translate and having a note pad handy so you can say what you want them to do or answer their questions. If you play a game frequently enough you will begin to notice that some of the things they type show up frequently. Also you begin to learn frequent asked questions. This isn't a perfect solution but it does work wonders. One thing to note though even when they understand you some people are generally pretty damn stubborn and proceed to do their own thing anyhow.

I don't really think it's a good idea to have the ability to limit the realms the bot bridges to. The reason being is that the WC3 community is really small and it's already hard enough to get players to join game. If you make the bot bridge to realm that only you are using, you are limiting the umber of people that can join your game and thus increasing the waiting time.

You can limit who joins your game by kicking players who do not speak English. You can restrict by location by using !ping X, for example !ping 100 will kick players with ping less than 100.
