Game rules - Battleships and some General

Alright so lately it has been a problem that we're missing a specific rule-set for battleships and also missing a bit in the general rules:

General rules should have added:
  • Delaying/stalling any game from ending
  • Do not use glitches or bugs

    Battleships Pro
  • It is NOT allowed to "Burn" items like wood, crews sails, and hulls to gain 100% gold refund
  • It is NOT allowed to pool a player (only allowed with an ACTIVE trader)
  • It is NOT allowed to Item steal/auto sell items dropped by a teammate

Define 1 & 2 more - at least give an example of what kind of glitches exist in BS and what you've to do so it is considered stalling (like only staying in your base?).

Backdooring in battleships: When a player is attacking the enemy base he has to have killed all creeps on that lane before hiting the base, you have to kill all creeps before you can start working the enemy base, when both creep-spawning harbors are dead the backdoor law doesnt apply anymore.

Burning the details: you can burn Hulls, Woods, Sails, Repair Crews and Shells, burning work like this, if you have in your inventory a 500 sail and try to pick up a 2900 sail the item will be burned to gold 2900 gold, since you cant have 2 sails at the same time or the same type the picked 1 is turned into 100% value, taking that a Shell is giving the bonus of sail, repair crew and hull, they can all be burned togather a 500 sail can burn a 7000 shell, a 7000 shell can burn a 200 repair crew, but woods only work with woods.

Burning Law: using burns like farming gold for a 3600 shell and turn it into a 3600 glaive thrower cannon always been something traditional to do, but this has been twisted recently on some rare occation people will drop all there gold on the ground has burn material and pool some1, POOLING in battleships this can only be done Outside Normal modes, in normal mode there is a trader ship that only play to trade and give gold to the players, pooling in that situation is also traditional. for another exemple of how burning can be miss used, when you trade specialy double trading forces you to drop your sail on the ground pick up the cargo then delete contract to pick up the sail again, some people will simply go invisable with a lower sail in there inventory to burn the trader's sail while hes on the job, when it comes to a 7000 worth sail it realy unbanlance teams and the trader is left with nothing ruining the game.

I think it's reasonable to disallow pooling, but not burning.

As far as stay rate goes, what is an acceptable or good stay rate for a battleships player?

my own stay rate is near 81% it is pretty low i guess but i keep it leveled, for a 100% stay rate, this would be the best always but the actual autoban after a certain % is pretty decent has it is, i am not sure of the details there

@child Battleships is kinda like DotA from what I've heard, so it's a 5v5 pvp game. Thus, like DotA, stay rates should be high or else you ruin the game for your team.

Does anyone else have any comments about some of these proposed rules? @Iznogood any comments on what people have posted thus far?

@ teller thats what i've heard too but it makes no sense because if you look at a lot of appeals posted for bships they are people with 67-70 % stay who all seem to think they arent leavers, and when i look i will often see a 60 something stay but only a 3-10% leave rate

I'm not really sure how the leave rate vs. stay rate works. I asked uak to explain it to me one time how they can be so different and it didn't make sense so...I never look at leave rate.

well in my understanding, i believe that left % is the % of total time of complete games a player has entered that they have left before "their" game was over. So in a last man standing game (i dont know if battleships is that but I think it must be elimination of some kind) the leave percentage would be accurate and stay not an accurate calculation of whether or not they are a leaver. I just cant believe that many people would have a 60-70 % stay without being frustrated by autobans to the point of quitting unless they dont get banned as its elimination of some sort

Battleships is DotA with different heroes and slightly different mechanics. So it's not elimination.
