Pokemon Defense Game breaking glitch

I was playing Pokemon defense and getting my ass beat, but I got a few lightning pokemon and suddenly starting completely destroying the other player, who was destroying me before. I destroyed his whole team in less than a second. All I know is that his Pokémon were weak to lightning, but I had lightning before then. There is now way a few lvl 1 pokemon could have that profound of an effect.
