Game deletion
Hello
Referring to this topic: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10571&start=20
I thought it would be great if users could report games that has been heavily ruined by gameruiners - and those games being deleted. That be maphack/ghosting/griefing etc. In the link above, I end up 0-10 due to ghosting, and it makes one feel powerless.
Just a quick thought regarding the format of deletion requests:
- Link to the original report of the game in the "ban request" section
- Why should this game be deleted
The reason I think this is a good idea, is that it makes it more clear. These deletion requests should be made after the ban request, because the mods will need the stats from that game when they make their decision.

Re: Game deletion
If you gave Game Mods power to do it, we could rollback games when we find a person guilty of this game ruining. Or else there could be a new forum in which people could request deletion and reds and greens could do it.
I'd also say.. no games more than2 weeks old will be accepted for rollback, or else there would be too many requests. I bet I could find at least 2 games in my match history on smurfs that were ruined by gamethrowers. Most people could, so there would just be too many of them.
Also I'd say as a guideline for this, if it gets approved, the game thrower must be intentionally destroying his team the entire game long, and games cannot be rullbacked if the person if votekicked (Because after kicking a gamethrower, you can actually have a somewhat normal game, and it would be unfair to delete stats for this)
And one final thing to decide, @Fangorn will it delete the loser's ELO loss, or will it delete the winner's ELO gain too?

Re: Game deletion
I know that feeling when you spend alot of time on a game, and there is a gameruiner in the game. Therefore the requirements for deletion should be strict:
- The game needs to have been reported in ban requests
- There must have been several attempts to votekick the gameruiner. This way, the players in that game won't have any excuse to demand that the stats for that game endures
- The gameruin needs to have been gamechanging. Feeding once or twice intentionally usually isn't enough, the gamethrowing needs to be throughly, throughout the game.
I'm thinking of a new section (childboard?) in the support section. As for who should get the power to delete games, I don't know.
Please keep this game in mind when considering this suggestion:

Re: Game deletion
I am against too. In every game, there can be map hackers, game ruiners or trolls... GM are here to ban them. But I think that when people have been dropped from the game because of the bot the game should be deleted.
Once I have lost a game we have owned from the start to the end. But the bot just dropped all my team players 1 after another... and we lost. First I thought it was a drop hacker. But it seems it was not.

Re: Game deletion
This isn't for deleting games that have MHers or leavers in them, but only game ruiners who purposely make their team lose the game.
Re: Game deletion
Maybe we can suggest if like this many player leave, they can leave the game in the next minute and the stats don't count?
Re: Game deletion
Maphackers have an advantage over other players, but that advantage is in no way a guarantee they'll play well or win many games. There are tons of fail MHers. Whereas, say, if someone picks Ezalor and teleports their team onto the cliff over and over, there is no chance that your team can win this. It's possible (yet much harder) to win against a mher, but it's not possible to win with someone on your team who is throwing the game. This feature should only really be used in extreme cases because it has the potential to totally throw off and mess up the ELO system if used too often.
Also if we start clearing the games of maphackers.. Would we clear every game or just the one he's caught in? If we clear every game, it would have a huge impact on the SD system and throw it off even more. If not, it would have no impact at all because we only review 1-5 games for MH
I would say however that only in cases of malicious ability use or intentional feeding can this be used. Because the definition of "gameruining" is very loose. Agreements says mh = gameruining, and I've also seen afking for 1 minute classified as gameruining, leaving classified as gameuining, and lagging classified as gameruining. All of these have some truth to them, but in most cases a game stat wipe would not be required here, because the game is at least somewhat playable.
That is why in my previous post, I specified "Game ruiners who purposely make their team lose"

Instead of having games deleted, could just be elo set to 0, if moderator can approve that there was a gameruiner. That means winners get they're win + elo they earned, losers get nothing, but doesn't lose anything either.

Re: Game deletion
Doesn't work vs ezalor or Earth Spirit or Bloodseeker (Three most common teamkill heroes) Do a forum search for "Malicious use of abilities." I've given bans for times when people used his teleport to teamkill allies (and they had used -disablehelp)
Re: Game deletion
Just to clearlify
I'll use this game as an ex again: https://entgaming.net/findstats.php?id=1544728
Everyone agrees that this game should be deleted, yes?
The gameruin tiny, with his toss (can't be prevented), completely ruined my game. I gave the ingame players 4 or 5 chances to get rid of the gameruiner through votekick. So the "I waited 60 mins, therefore the one gameruiner shouldn't affect me", doesn't apply here.

Re: Game deletion
"Get over it", for real? "Elo horny"? I ask in a nice manner if you can be so kind to delete a game that was totally ruined by gamethrowers, and this is what I get. Just, wow.
Instead of trying to make fun of the members - who make this community a better place by getting rid of gamethrowers, you should read my previous post again. My last post is totally sensible.

Agreements wrote:Either way, we don't currently delete games. And again, i doubt we will be in the future, just because some people are elo horny. Get over it, it's just a game, and we do this for fun.
Yep. It's just a game and we play for fun. And there's nothing LESS fun than being tosses into the enemy team 10 times by your ally tiny. That's why we're asking for this feature, so that the people who destroy games can't affect your stats. I really don't see how the "it's just a game" argument has anything to do with this.

It's as valid as anything else. What is your definition of a game being ruined? If it means only that your allies is tossing you around the map then it's pretty narrow minded.
I already specified in a previous post that I think game rollbacks should only be used for malicious use of abilities and intentional feeding, so I don't know why you're asking me that.
The "it's just a game" argument still makes absolutely no sense in this.

Re: Game deletion
Sad behaviour from a administrator I have to say.
Anyhow, can someone else please delete the game I used as an example?
1. I tried to votekick the player who tossed me to death 10 times. Gameruin
2. The other players were informed of this gameruin, yet they didn't vote.
Conclusion; every player in the game knew - by looking at tiny's action - aswell as reading my allchat messages, that tiny indeed ruined this game. The players decided to overlook this matter, which is their problem. If they voted !yes, we could have a somewhat normal game, 0-1 is still winable.
This is a great example of a game that needs to be deleted.

Re: Game deletion
Can you please stick to the topic? The game mentioned is obviously ruined, and the players in the game got their chance to kick. Come up with a vaild reason not to delete this game
