Is Legion TD really a team game?

Isn't the concept of 4v4 legion TD tournaments redundant? I mean couldn't the best player on the team theoretically just tell everyone what to build and where? Wouldn't the game just become who has the better player on the team? Instead of which team has better team work, average skill, etc

Of course this could be done, but I don't think anyone would enjoy playing the game for the full team (knowing all their towers, tell them when to push, how much, when to rr, what to build, what to send etc.). That would be too much work ^.^
Many players help others out here and there, but they are still not playing the game for them so in the end it comes down to average skill, team work, best leader etc.

One person can't micromanage 4 builds effectively. He may manage 2, but 3-4 is too difficult. It can be done, but it would be less effective than 4 people thinking for themselve.

Oh, if you've ever watched LIHL you would know the answer to this. It is possible, but I don't skype and directing even one person is very time-intensive. 3 people just takes too long to tell every build placement and go over every unit etc., in addition to the time lost from incoming that is spent from explanations.

1 most expirienced player could be a captain of team, he choose general strategy, decide who overbuild and who go income hard. All players should know how to build most effectively and how to income right way. Also captain should forecast enemies actions and counter it, and forecast how enemy will build and how better kill em.
Captain should not explain how to build and when to reroll in accordance of general strategy - players should already know it before game (know all units real capacity from start to end of game).
All of it required hard teamwork so yes LTD is a team game.
Play hard go pro
