Top players list

Hello
I had a look at the top players dota-list, and I noticed that close to ALL of the players were playing EASYmode games.
My suggestion: Split the list into normal and easymode. The current list is more like a list of shame. Stomping noobs in easymode is something everyone can do
Please consider it!

About what map is your comments and suggestion? or is about all the maps?
What you consider normal and easy mode?
thanks

How about DotA vs. DotA HR? We already do that.

To be fair, I've never seen those hr games filled up. Might be the time-difference.
I was wondering if it is possible to give the easymoders their own list basically. Right now, easymode counts in the "normal dota" list. Easymode isn't normal dota, it is a mode that was meant for rookies!

To be fair to all players, some prefer a fast game (-em) while others prefer competitive version (non em).
EM games - requires lesser farming and early kills
Non-EM games - requires much farming and late team fights.
Each have their appeals to different sets of players. Not because rookies play EM but because its a personal choice.

Yeah, there have been 0 DotA HR games hosted in the last week.
@uakf.b What is your opinion on this?

I do not play DOTA but I am familiar with the HR bots in LTD and how to make HR a serious gaming community.
My suggestion is to start the buzz about the HR bot rather than to split the stats on ENT's website to accommodate different game modes. The LTD HR bots started out at a desolate place where one could go to think in quiet solitude for nights on end but we eventually (as a community) got the LTD HR bots to be an active and well mannered community. How do you accomplish this? Well, by fishing of course!
In order to make an HR bot work, you have to have demand. Most players over 1200 ELO do not even know of the existence of the HR bots. It is up to the skilled players in the community who actually want a good challenge and a well balanced game to start making acquaintances in the community and inviting people to play on the HR bot. I am sure that there are many familiar faces in the dota community and a lot of players must know and recognize eachother.
Why not get 3 or 4 of you to agree to meet in the HR bot and wait in the lobby. Then one of you can go fish the public bots for more players. Meet new people in the process, make new friends and slowly fill up the HR bot to get a game started.
It may sound like a tedious process (and at first it certainly is) - but the rewards will be great. I speak from experience with the LTD HR bots and once we spent a solid week fishing and playing only a handful of games per night we eventually got the buzz around to make HR a nightly event. The game play is so much greater in an HR bot because there are no new players, no leavers and
rarely any hackers (I emphasize.. "rarely" - not never

). This is far more a test of one's skill then simply choosing a game mode designed for tougher play. You will be able to see who the top players really are by the HR ELO system. The bots are always a-bal and you can even set up some "ground rules" for the HR bot.
My suggestion once again - get the buzz out about the HR bot and make it an active community. I don't think that you will be dissapointed!

Thanks for the feedback
I agree on what you're saying, getting the HR bots up and running would be great.
How about trying to host -ap HR games, and lowering requirements a bit, to start with?
On the other hand, I would still want to split normal dota with easymode. The current list is "unfair", as the easymoders tends to stack to improve stats. Stacking isn't wrong, but to stomp noobs in easymode, with friends, thats low. I'd still say we need to split easymode from the rest.

most of the top players actually play apem/ap its which ever one is about to start the quickest with an empty lobby so that we can stack, none of us care about em or not but usually em is more full and thus we can fit our 5 mans in the next game... which happens more often than ap? besides how is em not normal dota... em doesnt make the game any easier? it makes it faster... everyone gains the same bonus gold so how is there any easier to that if the farm is exactly the same for everyone....

I don't play dota anymore (been over 5 yrs) and from what I remember, there is a huge difference.
When farming, you actually gain less gpm in non-em vs em. Heroes level faster in em vs non-em. Towers are harder to destroy in non-em vs em. You lose gold when you die in non-em, while in em you don't. I'm sure there is a lot more, but I forgot

So actually em is a lot easier game than non-em. The meta is different, the build is different, hero items (Starting to laning) is different, etc.
Edit: !support I think this is a good suggestion for the Dota players that want to differentiate themselves from the normal vs easy mode games.

everything you said is true for everyone... you get 1k gold in a minute so do they... it is meant to be just faster mate.. everything is exactly the same except in non em its less xp and less gold... so in em its a faster version and the benefits negate since they apply to all

I don't think you quite understand the difference. Yes, both sides will equally get the same gold/xp and whatnot, but the meta of the game changes in non-em vs em. You have to deny more (yes, denies are worth sooo much more in non-em games). Creep kills are a lot more important, managing to jungle, while pulling/stacking contributes a lot to the game. Warding, roaming, scouting, etc., besides ganking, you will rarely see these in pub em games. Again, I haven't played Dota in 5+ yrs, but this is what I remember from when I was a religious player. People that say there is no difference between non-em and em, actually doesn't understand the game
