Could it be possible to update the registration page with this captcha?
https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/index.html

I believe it to be 100% more user friendly. No more trying to break your head on the screen trying to figure out what in the heck you're looking at when the captcha characters are being displayed.

+1. updated them for mmh a few weeks ago, too.

Question is whether the effort to change the few lines is worth it for singe registrations.

How does this reCAPTCHA work? The video's example is misleading.

Scenarios:
1) "Red" is the only right answer.
2) Both "Blue and "Red" is the right answer.

Also, any examples of popular sites using it? If it works well, I'd recommend it too.

Sounds or colors are optional. I prefer pictures tho.

Eh, I personally hate the picture ones, I've met those before where I have to identify sushis, and it's more time consuming than refreshing a text reCAPTCHA to readable.

Please if it is the same one as what Twitch uses, I am against it. I've tried to input the captcha to make an account on twitch and 30 mins later I still couldn't enter it correctly, it is almost impossible to read the letters and they also change background colours, very annoying.

I personally dont care what we use...isnt captcha's purpose to differentiate between a bot vs a human being? As long as the purpose is served, w/e.

uak can decide.

It isnt just another captcha - it is a better one (system-wise). But considering the few bots registering here on the forum, it really is more of a preference question.

@nabo. is right totally. re-captch is used for a human verification: A spam bot prevention.

We are just using phpbb recaptcha plugin. Modifying code is not worth it and may cause issues later on.
