better rule for ban dodgers

It's my understanding that dodging a ban currently results in a one year ban (same as mh). I think mh is more severe. I was thinking a dodged ban should result in double the ban length and a dodge of that ban should result in 4x that ban length. If the person dodges again they can be range banned for a year. I just think getting banned for a year over not healing the king and making a new account the next day is too much punishment. Thoughts?

Ban dodgers receive arbitrary ban lengths between 3 days and 1 year.
Claim ignorance and being nice often results in 1 week bans (or less) for dodging. The 1 year ban isn't a flat rule.

OIC. Gaara had me thinking otherwise.

Standard ban duration for ban dodging is set on 1 year, as it's considered a serious offense, such as maphack. Not being aware of ENT rules is the player's fault in the first place. Second,
I just think getting banned for a year over not healing the king and making a new account the next day is too much punishment.
- Wrong; Ban dodging is a serious offense and is treated as such: once a player notices he's banned for whatever reason, he should be posting an ban appeal at the forum as the ban message states when he enters a game, not making new accounts and keep on playing.

Every case is judged individually (taking everything in consideration), so as mentioned by supersexxy, the 1 year ban duration isn't a flat rule - it's a standard duration for the rule itself, which may be reduced, or not, once user appeals and after being analyzed/judged.
