We all agree that pooling should be banned from the game, but the other hand I don't understand why leaving items before leaving game is allowed here.
You see there's a point game has been designed that leavers' gold would be given to players dividedly so there won't be a single overpowered player ingame just because someone left the game. However leaving items before quit is totally another story, it is no difference with pooling someone, simply combining two ships' networth into one - a overpowered ship. And not mention people can use this flaw of rules to avoid ban when they really want to pool their friends or multi-boxing. I've seen people left 3 gold hull for their team to burn, that was obviously wrong but according to current rules we can't do anything about it.
In my opinion leaver gold works fine the way it is now, it gives advantage to the leavers team to make up disadvantage of losing players, and honestly usually leaver gold is difficult enough to deal with already.
Leaving items should not be allowed in any cases so people wouldn't abuse this trick to make the game unfair.

oh another thing, draw system works weird when there's only 1 player left on certain team, the other team couldn't votekick him which is nice and fair, but they can simply vote for draw themselves so the loner still has noway to win the game. It's either tie or victory for them and I't's either tie or lost for the loner, although it's not his fault that his team all left. Don't you think that's weird?

That's odd indeed, though I've never come across this issue. Could you provide us with the stats page link containing the replay to which this occurred?

I don't have one, you can test it yourself with private game maybe.

I see the difference is that somebody gets the income of 2 people perpetually with pooling especially early game where they can start off with 6k gold in the accelerated modes and use that to get a good lead.
People who drop items before leaving (at least in the brqs) have not had anywhere close to that effect on the game itself. Out of the brqs, the team that was winning before still won.

I would agree that buying 3 gold hulls before leaving is significantly different than dropping your inventory in front of your harbor though.

I am of the opinion people should be allowed to drop their current inventory before they leave, many games such as dota the items of a leaver are free to take.

How can you compare battleships to dota if people totally can't burn anything and get full refund in dota. Additionally it seems no real rules against pooling in general dota games (http://wiki.entgaming.net/index.php?title=EntGaming:DotARules).
Leaving items sure is just an alternative way to pool your team, especially for those people who working on their elo, they can basically farm for 5 mins then leave a lot of gold for a certain player, mostly his friend, then game become unfair.
I think It's either removing the rule against pooling in battleships, or adding rules against leaving items, while I don't think people who picked them up should be banned because the leaver left them no choice, but that leaver who has left items should be banned for sure.

Not sure how enforceable this is given how common practice dropping items is (in contrast to pooling). Also @Cambrioleuse can you post your Battleships map version with the share/pool commands disabled again?
