Change elo system?
I really liked DotaCash system about points. I cant remind what system that was but it nicely replaced elo system. When you can lose less elo or win more( depends of how you are playin). From my eyes elo system is good for auto-balanced games, but not for our games. And games wud be more balanced cuz players wont afraid to lose any points due to your their teamates. For instance: on iccup elo system is doing good due to 90% games there is auto-balanced. But if we cant fill our AB games out, could we change getting points system?

Just a couple previously suggestions like this. I don't see it changing, nor the need for change. Ultimately all stats are meaningless, except for the pride they give to the owner of said stats. I don't see how changing from one system to the next would positively affect that pride. Our current system is adequate in providing a breakdown of a player's statistics per game so that player's can pride themselves on various aspects of the stats.
There's no such thing as "True skill rating" or any measurement of dota ability. All stats can be inflated / deflated due to many factors - mostly competition level. No one system is, in my opinion, vastly superior to another in hinting at a player's abilities.
You can't judge a book by its cover (the stats page being the cover). Changing systems would simply be like changing the color of the binding.

Re: Change elo system?
Well, i got your point but where is there the pride beating 500-600 elo guys by 1500+ elo guys? There is really no any competition level. If i so wanted to get ELO i wud buy it than spend so much time for playing to get it. My post has nothing to do with pride by getting high elo. My point is to make games more intersting i more prefer having fun from itself game process. Cuz dota is an emotinal game, there is so much agression, trolling, fun (sure within the framework of) and thats cool cuz we are not robots and my points is to replace elo system will do players less carry about their elo and there wont be any 5 stackers beating 5 newbies( there is no such fun). Im not talking elo is uselles, pointless, elo shows ur game skill ur attitude to this game. Im talkib about 1) beatiful, emotional game 2) elo, stats. Try to play for newbies in elo system, u wud lose -20,15 elo if you wud do ur best while ur teamtes just feeding and ignoring you.Is that fair? So why need then elo points if good players who wants to play more competetive games wud lose elo? Thats means elo system doesnt work properly. And If we had that DotaCash system, we wud have 2-3 good players in each team what wud make games more entertaining
Re: Change elo system?
this would result in too much flaming for KS, and stat-farming that is detrimental to their teams.

Re: Change elo system?
DotACash used TSR, this is similar to ELO except the change is also based on the number of games that you've played (actually "uncertainty" in your current rating).

Re: Change elo system?
There is no problem with elo rating.
Elo and w.e rating models r just an approximate representation of a player's skill.
Edit: seems uakf.b does not see any need to change our rating system since there isnt a great difference between elo and tsr.
