As it stands, Titan leavers before ten minutes get a (roughly) two-day ban that they can appeal. This, I don't have an issue with. However, it's the ones who leave before even spawning.

The problem with titans that leave before spawning their unit is that it ruins the game. Builders can't save the game when this happens, since the triggers bug out when it happens. It borders the line of game-ruining, and they stayed as titan for those 15+ seconds in lobby for the game to start.

Now, what I suggest: Making the two-day ban UNAPPEALABLE only for titans that leave during spawning.

Before somebody comes in and say that they might have had something important to do, if that's the case, why did they take the time to go Titan in the first place, and what's more importantly, why were they paying more attention to the game?

Using that logic we shouldn't ever ban people for game ruining because the other people could just join the next game...

Bans are based off the account stay rate and the number of games played by that user. It's not always 2 days, sometimes it's not at all (if they have several games and have a great stay rate) sometimes it's only a couple hours, and sometimes it can be even longer than 2 days.


If you find people doing this, it may be prudent to post a Ban Request and state it as Game Ruining; but maybe @aRt)Y @TimmyTheTauren might have something to day about it.

Actually, I completely understood your statement, your logic is still faulty. I realize that you said if the player does it multiple times they should be banned, but you are still stating that people who game ruin once in a while doesn't inconvenience users that much and that they should just join the next game. If that is not what you meant, then I'm sorry, but that is what the first half of your post states.

At the original suggestion, maybe there could be a different ban length if the titan leaves before a certain time (I've never played ID, so not sure when that time would be but I'm sure others do), maybe something like the below or something. @uakf.b is that possible (if this was decided upon and agreed upon,) to have a length differential if the player leaves at the beginning?

Titan spawn is roughly 1 minute, though it's been a while since I've played. I know there's a 15ish second grace period for modes (-ar, -br, etc), and a good 45 seconds for titan to spawn.

I know that the majority of leaver bans for ID are usually 2 days, but they can be appealable (so it doesn't really matter how the bot's configured, the only thing matters is that builders shouldn't be banned for leaving), what I was trying to go for is to make it where if the banned person leaves before titan is spawned, they can't appeal their ban.

if there's going to be an autoban (and there might be one for leaving during loading/countdown, I don't know for sure) for the first 10 minutes, it should only affect Titan, and even then, there shouldn't in the rare case of there being 3+ observers when titan spawned.

The bot will automatically ban titans who left at time=0.
The ban will not be un-appealable because there's no reason for it. Every ban - even maphack - is appealable.

It's a different story if the mods approve the appeal or not.

I like the idea, but I doubt they will make it un-appealable, it's a good suggestion considering it ruins the entire game, but like arty said it's the mods job to approve the appeal and nobody should be unbanning leaver titans, Nobody, unless it was like 1 minute left or something stupid like that, that's why ID people handle, ID ban requests.

I didn't read anything except for the proposal, but it's unneeded. The moderator who deals with the appeal decides.. usually based on stay/leave percent, total bans, etc.

No reason to make any one thing "unappealable"

I totally support this, players who just leave before the spawn is just plain sick. The leaver has a chance of leaving in-game lobby, and I hate these excuses of "Oh well there was one second left when I left" when basically you have 15 seconds by the time the bot spoof checks and starts the game.

I don't support this, because people who come in and crash/disconnect at the beginning shouldn't be unappealable. This would be unfair to some users and cause disadvantage.
