Founders Of The North

Postby DanielTDS » Mon Aug 19, 2013 4:18 am

Link to map: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps ... %26mur%3D4
Slot layout: All 8 slots opened.
Number of players until autostart: 6 or 7 (preferably 6)
Problems with map: I really don't know any problems that may occur with this map. But I think that map hacking may be an issue, but it's not a big problem as I have never seen someone using this kind of program to play this game.
Why the map should be autohosted: I have seen you guys hosting Azeroth Wars and loved it. FotN is a well known and made map that has a consistent number of players interested in playing it (For example, I play on garena and I'm part of a group that has 50+ players exclusive for playng that game). In addition, hosting this game would bring even more players to play it as it is, indeed, an excellent map, just like Azeroth Wars. Go see by yourself. This game may be old and may not get any new updates but it is a very good map.

FotN is an RTS rogue-like (or not) alternative Warcraft III's map where you begin controlling one basic and simple hero unit named "Founder". The map's ultimate objective is to "become the lord of the North". The map doesn't have pre-made teams and each player can ally or unally whoever they like. You can choose if you want to build a city, gain economical power and war others or even if you want to go on a lonely adventure venturing the cold lands of the north in order to unravel mysteries and defeat bosses or even better: you can do both!

What I really appreciate on this map are its different and unique ways of playing it. You can do whatever you want and can earn money and power by very different ways (fishing, hunting, growing, buying and selling products or even stealing things, if you play as a Rogue).
Special notes: Really hope you give me some feedback on that issue! Thanks for the opportunity! Sorry for any English mistakes as I'm not a native English speaker.

I think we used to host this and no one joined.

Did you host this on Garena? If so, I think we have a problem here. I know many people who play and I hosted it sometimes. It was difficult to get full house but 6 players was acceptable. It took some time but I could get that number. But if you say that no one entered when you hosted it, then I have to suggest to make it autostart with 6 players with !votestart enabled with 3. Or even, not to host it at all, as no one entered when you hosted.

Our autohost bots do not bridge to GArena, only our Public Use Bots do (the bots you host using ENT Link)

Thanks for the info, Teller55! Sorry, didn't knew that. Thought your normal bots made a bridge to garena. I think that's why FotN didn't got full when hosting on B.net...

We can't connect all our autohost bots to Garena, LAN gamelist only holds 20 games.
