The only thing that really happens when you go into that zone is that the heroes will come after you. (Watch out for that ranger debuff!) Also note that their positions will be reset after a time.

Also note that that doesn't happen in the new version, as the heroes in hero selection are no longer hostile towards you.

Re: [Rules] [Enfo FFB Edition] HR Jump should not be ban-abl
Since this is now an enfo's rules thread, I think it should be bannable to drop people at the beginning of the game. To clarify, when the map starts, there is a big lag at the beginning, from heroes and their spells being preloaded. Due to some people's slower computers, they will lag during this period, usually more than 45 seconds. This leads to players voting to drop laggers before game even starts. I feel like if they are too stupid to read the red text in the beginning telling people that there will be lag, they should be banned; especially since if they had just waited 5 more seconds before dropping, the lagger's slow computers would have caught up, and people could've played the game already, with noone disconnecting.

I am not too sure how easy it is to make/change loading screens, but having a new one that mentions that there will be heavy lag at the beginning of the lag or something similar might reduce the amount of dropping that happens. It also gives you somewhere to show the recent balance changes or things like "rematches start automatically"
You could also try having everyone sent a PM about the lag, but I am guessing that won't make much of a difference.
In any case though I do agree that this does happen quite a bit and it can greatly impact games.

The way I did it was the fastest possible way to make the map load faster. If I preload the hero skills in game, then everyone spends less time waiting in load screen. Because the wait is shorter in game. But the downside to this is that people with slower computers lag and get dropped by idiots. So, it should be a rule that these idiots get banned.

Re: [Rules] [Enfo FFB Edition] HR Jump should not be ban-abl
HR crossing the "Void" area or "No Man's Land" or "Black area," whatever you want to call the area, is considered a glitch.
1. Impossible to damage, dark rift, image, or intercept said hero.
2. Unable to kill hero while in transit.
3. When certain spells are casted, such as dark rift, image, it glitches where the mana is spent, but the spell itself does not work. (The units down spawn)
A ban request must be put in from hence forth for a ban to be placed.
It will fall under the General Rules "Do not glitch"
