I also disagree. If you really don't want someone to see what you posted later, I suppose you can always go back and edit your post with nothing but a period in it, BUT what you posted may help another user down the road reading that thread.
For instance, if you made a post asking for help on something because you didn't understand something. If someone posts after you explaining it, then it now makes sense to you, you delete your post. But now, someone else may ask the same question tomorrow because you deleted your post and they couldn't search for the answer on the forum.
Plus there is no benefit to giving users the access to do this.

You are the only one who posts something and edits his posts after days with simply a dot (.).
A forum is a place to post something and to keep it. Thus, I am obviously against it as well (duh).

I'm against this aswell, you've all the time in the world to post something you'd like even if it becomes irrelevant then edit it to something that is.
