Hello esteemed ENT moderators,
This is an issue that I have been personally struggling with, and the more I think about it the less sense it makes. The current autoban system operates so that a person is auto banned due to vk, dropped connection, or early leaving. In my understanding, if a person records a certain number of autobans within a period of 2-3 days then they are banned for an extended period of 3-4 days.
The main problem I have with this system is that it does not take into account the number of games a person has played within the period where autobans are recorded. Personally, I have been dota marathoning on days where I am not working, which is 4 days a week this summer (could only find part time job). Now on these days I may play up to 20+ games per day, and it is inevitable that of this span I drop from around 1 game (my stay rate also indicates this) due to connectivity problems on my side or perhaps ent or battlenet lags. Now to me, it seems very unfair that I should be punished if I leave 3 games out of 60 games in three days, whereas perhaps a person who only plays 2-3 games per day and only plays say monday wednesday and saturday/sunday could essentially leave 25% of the time and not receive an autoban. I never leave games because of rage, or personal issues, or a bad team and I also never break any rules. Yet people who play sporadically and leave a much higher percentage of games are not punished as severely.
Would it not make more sense to make the autoban period based on number of games played within a certain time period rather than just a time period alone?

Re: Extended autoban system
The autoban system also bans for having a low stay percentage over certain number of games, not only duration of time.
I understand your frustration. However, if you keep a good stay percentage, please apply for an appeal and I'm sure it'll be approved.
