Risk Devolution Autoban

Postby iownyaMouse » Sun Jun 23, 2013 10:54 pm

Hi there

Just thought i'd put in a suggestion after a few people had issues with the Risk Devolution bot ent87

There should be no autoban in place for people who leave as it's only natural for people to go once they have been eliminated, banning leavers is impractical in a risk game

also please fix the auto HCL settings and win trigger ;]

Thanks

Autoban should be disabled now. Can you give details on how HCL / win trigger should be set?

I believe the HCL string was 'aesf' for a standard FFA setting, ie things to be changed from default are:

10 turns spawn
Hide names
Hide gold on multiboard
Bounty 1/4

Win trigger:
- last player in game or alive
- largest player has over 100 income AND more than 150% of combined income of all other alive players

These used to be run on BGN bots as well, they should have the code for it.

I updated configuration to use that HCL, we'll see if it works. Also added W3MMD in case the map supports it.

If the map doesn't have W3MMD I can add it; but is there a specific message that's displayed when a player wins? Or something else _in the map_ for the win trigger, which the W3MMD can be built around?

Also if you could take a look at viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10603&start=10#p52396 -- I'm not sure what the differences are between the one we're hosting and what http://risknextgen.com/ hosts. If we're hosting the same map then we should stop hosting since they clearly have more resources dedicated to the Risk map.

They are two different maps, I will find out more details and get back to you.

Map seems to support W3MMD, so will be adding stats soon. All current games are being tracked by stats.
