ip bans qustions

Hi Ent.

A few days ago my friend got ip banned because some1 with the same public ip left a dota.

I know for a fact many isp here in denmark are using the same public ip for 100s of users.
And the lack of ipv4 adreesses do that some isp dont sell public ips.

Have you taken that into consituation when the autoban is banning on ip?

And when you do the ban on ip. Is it on the single ip or do you ban on subnet (range)?

If some1 get banned on ip do it automatic ban on name as wrll? Or can you just change ip to play again?

Im bot thinking of getting banned but if fet this thougt of getting around ip ban many many others have as well.

Im asking because im the it guru in my friend circle,
And i dont think is the last time i get ask wtf do i do.

The whitelist works with ENT Connect
Try ent connect and tell me what nickname you want to include.

Bans ban on both IP and name.

Whitelist is a list of users we clear to use ENT Connect by username. ENT Connect is another way to connect to battle.net. You will not be affected by IP bans then, but only bans by your name.

To get Whitelisted, you need to use ENT Connect and request to be whitelisted based on a shared IP.

I let you in on a sceret, im IT educated, and have read all about ent connect
The information was to know what reqruiments you had to get whitelistet,
and if you only ip banned and not named banned, make you aware of the easy fix <- dindt thought you only did it, but what do i know.
