Dropped from game lobby shortly after DLing map

Hey homies,
I'm having an issue with getting dropped in the lobby of Lords of Europe 2.1.5b when other people host it using ENT bot. I can host it myself without any issues, but when others host it, sometimes I am randomly dropped shortly after downloading the map.

Here's what's interesting: it doesn't always happen. Sometimes if I rejoin like 5x it will stop doing it, and sometimes it just won't drop me. Also, I always have to redownload the map even though I've played it before.

My gut feeling is that it has something to do with spoof check, where the bot is for some reason not recognizing my account. Any way I can work around this? I can't whisper "sc" to the bot because the bot shows offline. For example right now Ent.Europe5 is hosting Lords of Europe and when I try to whisper, both on europe realm and useast, bot shows offline and I can't whisper.

Any thoughts or ideas why this could be happening? Thanks in advance for your help!

Are you dropped in lobby or ingame? If the latter, at what time? What is the message you get / the bot sends to others?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I say in my first sentence of my original post that it's in the lobby It happens shortly (5-10 seconds) after downloading the map. There's no message at all to other folks, they just think I'm leaving. It actually just happened with another game hosted on ENT, where 5-10 seconds after I downloaded the map I'm dropped from the lobby.

One more interesting feature of this: when i'm dropped, I can't immediately rejoin the game. It says game cannot be found/does not exist for about 1 minute. After about a minute I'm able to rejoin the game lobby. Very odd! Realm has no impact, same issues happen on Europe/US East, different account names don't help.

Does that help narrow it down some?

Seems like it is a networking issue, not a spoofcheck issue. The TCP connection is being closed for some reason. The network problem is probably on your side (e.g. your router or your ISP, or maybe some software on your computer like a firewall), but it is also possible that it is on the server side (e.g. DDoS protection is kicking in for your IP address, maybe because of other malicious activity on your ISP unrelated to you). Either way there is not much we can do about it.

Does this happen if you join games hosted in NY/Chicago, or just Europe ones, or just Europe/Montreal? Also, does it happen if you join other games on Battle.net?

BTW: you can actually see the log messages like the one above yourself. Go to https://entgaming.net/openstats/dota/?u=UrMumSucksMeOff and select a game, and then click the Lobby chat link.

It's only happened to me on Europe games. I'm based out of us east so maybe it's some kind of international settings on my internets? It happened to me in one other game hosted in europe today, so I guess it's a europe issue.

It's hard to pinpoint where the problem is, especially when it only happens now and then. And anyway there probably isn't a way to fix it. Unfortunately you will probably just need to stick with rejoining until it doesn't drop you for these games.
