Describe any relevant experience, both in moderating and in Warcraft III: Played WC3 for years, and DOTA for even longer. 12 years.
Why do you want to become a game moderator: Too much abuse these days - the forums are full of ban requests, and seems often they go days or even weeks without being dealt with.
What will you bring to the ENT/Warcraft III community: Ability to keep the ENT gaming community clean and games enjoyable without abusers, grievers, hackers, etc.
Closing Statement:
It amazes me how many games have abusers, maphackers, grievers, and so forth. Seems every day I'm reporting someone on the forums for intentional game throwing, hacking, or some other game ruining action. I would like to assist the moderators in reviewing and banning offenders, to keep the ENT community clean. ENT is by far the largest active dota community, and I think it's important it keeps clean

I am extremely negative. You don't seem to have any real experience in moderating, very few ban requests (mostly DotA) and let's face it, this is probably the worst application in the history of mankind.

Off topic:
I do wonder, if you are really 29, do you actually have a job in real life? How did you get it? I seriously hope you didn't need to make application since that's obviously not your strength.

Activity is not good overall, rarely seen on forum/chat, no usage of tools so far, no ban requests/appeals linked to the app either .. Application looks like something written in less than 3 minutes (Sorry for the statement, but thats how it looks like).

Have to agree with Haunt: I don't see anything positive here to give you any support: Intentions to help are good, and appreciated, but with no activity, it basically gets nowhere.

You're right - I put the application together in about 3 minutes. Not a job interview, so didn't know I needed to 'prove' anything other than good intentions and desire to help the community (after all, isn't that what we all want to do? we're not getting paid here - it's volunteer work to keep the community clean).

Primary reason I posted here was because I noticed ban requests sometimes went weeks without being responded to. Thought any help is better than no help. I may only be able to respond to 10-12 ban requests per week, but it's still better than nothing

As far as ban requests/appeals linked to the app - i'm not sure what app you're referring to. i know how to (and frequently use) the DRM and fogclicker, but haven't had to post anything related to them. I've used entconnect, but don't have a need for it as my connection is fairly stable, so haven't used it in a year or so.

Like I said, I'm not trying to become an ENT admin, but figured one extra body going through the forums processing and responding to ban requests was better than nothing. I may not be too active on the forums, but I am very active in DOTA. Minimum of 15-20 games/week.

Sorry - I read through the "Staff Application" wiki page, and didn't see mentioned that I should link to past bans requests / appeals, which was why I didn't attach them to my application. May want to consider adding that as a requirement in the StaffApp wiki instructions.

I don't know that I've got enough ban requests or forum contributions under my belt, so sounds like no need to consider this any further. I will say that I always make it a point to report any inappropriate behavior, but probably only a dozen or so times - not nearly enough for what it seems you're looking for.

Again, only reason I volunteered was because i noticed some ban requests taking over a week to process, and figured you could use (and would welcome) the extra help.

I know that few of our staff including myself are busy these days due to final exams and term assignments from college/university. Number of ban requests being posted + number of mods being online and available to review these requests varies by time. We understand that players report in hopes to make this community more fair and fun. Game moderators try to process ban requests within 1 week of its post.

Thank you for your interest and intention to help out, but do understand that there are minimum expectations we have of applicants. Showing us an on-going activity on forum especially at brqs and appeals is a must.

We will edit and update our staff-app criteria template per your suggestion.

Once you are able to show us that you can commit by putting effort and time into ban requests, feel free to apply again.
