Hello.
I do have Prior Application for LIHL Moderator
But, I want to write new one since I'm applying for Game Moderator.
It would be more updated and clearly clarifying current status.

  1. Name: Michael Song
  2. Age: 25
  3. Game moderator specialty (see below for choices): Legion TD,Defense of the Ancients,Island Defense,Troll & Elves,Castle Fight
  4. Brief introduction: Hello, I was studying Business at university in Korea but took a full year off for myself. My hobbies are playing computer games, sports climbing, reading books, listening to music.
  5. What are your current hours of playing time (approximate): Almost 24/7 when I'm awake.
  6. What is your current time zone: GMT +9
  7. Describe any relevant experience, both in moderating and in Warcraft III: I'm not exactly sure about what moderating really means at here. So, I will list in Warcraft III experience and Moderating experience seperately.

    • Warcraft III experience:
In the past, I had been playing Warcraft DOTA since 2008 and was representative of Korean DOTA team for 2008 and 2009. I went AWCG[Asian World Cyber Games which is similar to WCG(World Cyber Games)] you can find out information at Offcial AWCG Homepage or who can read korean Personal post who was FIFA2009 representative for further information. (My account name was TOFU_Boden)
    • For moderating experinces :
      • 2008~2009 Game Advisor for WCG program.
WCG was trying to manage the server which they could prevent Maphack or any Hack used when Qualifer for DOTA, FIFA, and Guitar hero. I was regular tester for them, at that time.
      • 02/2015~ LIHL Moderator in ENT about a month.
      • 2008~2009 Shamen at Clan Pein
      • Owner of cafe Legion TD cafe: Players who love Legion TD
  8. Why do you want to become a game moderator: First of all, I really do like to use my time to help other players. Since my hobby is gaming as well, I could combine my two of my favorite things to help out Ban Request section.
Second, I want to learn more about including BBcode. I recently joined to learn more about https://www.phpbb.com/ But still it's hard to learn alone, so want some guidance to learn more.
  9. What will you bring to the ENT/Warcraft III community: I would like to handle Ban Request and Ban Appeal as Game Moderator. I do really like learning which I don't know, so anything which I can learn to benefit community, I would be gladly learn and help.
  10. Closing Statement: I know several Moderators in ENT, and I appreciate their contribution, which make far most active and clean circumstances compared to other bots. I want to share my time to join their jobs, to improve ENT Bots for making more better bot. Furthermore, I feel comfortable when I'm joining ENT Chat rather than playing games which are autohosted by ENT.

Current activities in Ban Request:
DOTA Maphack Case#1
DOTA Maphack Case#2
DOTA Item Destruction
LTD Antistuck Abuse
LTD Draw request #1
LTD Draw request #2
LTD 1100+ Merc
LTD Multiboxing
LTD Heal
LTD Votekick abuse
LTD Wrong mode selection
LTD Leaving voluntarily

Definitely picked up on ban request activity, always on the ENT Chat. Well respected member of the LIHL and enough contribution to be more than familiar with LTD and it's rule-specific system. Has learned more on maphack detection and provided useful advice on ban requests prior to other game genres. I think MichaelSong would make a nice addition to the team.

I love this application, so well written... I also agree with Jazz on his points.

I think my signature tells everything you need to know about Michael.

As far as i see, he seems to be ready. Definetly a nice and trustworthy person, with an amazing amount of time spent online!
He is able to use the tools imo and so on.

Only problem: It seems like he is a liar, since he didnt mention "eating" on his hobbys.

Would love to see him helping us as GM.

Why did you take a year off?
What have bbcodes to do with becoming a moderator?

And just to clarify, we dont accept lihl apps for the staff. You would have to write a new one with our format anyway.

  • Why did you take a year off? wrote: There are several reasons why I take a year off.
    1. First of all, I did want to rest a year for resting. I was trying my best to follow school works until I finished junior while majoring Business, I had to study hard to get scholarship at school. I was too tired of following more semesters.
    2. Second, I was considering seriously about changing major or going to study again at university.
I was very unpleasant while I was studying financial account and cost account, which were subject that one of professors forced me to put more time. But, since I didn't like accounting and wanted to study more about investment and marketing seriously, but couldn't due to tasks that given to me since I was undergraduate teaching assistant ast school. I have to admit that I was losing interest in my school.
    3. I have to mention about Army. Although, I already mentioned at LIHL Moderator application, you mentioned
aRt)Y wrote: we dont accept lihl apps for the staff. You would have to write a new one with our format anyway.
I would like to mention again.
All koreans have to go Army for mandatory since it is responsibility as korean citizen. I was planning to army after finishing Master degree, but since I already take off a year at school, I'm planning to go Army before I go study in graduate school. I'm personally studying to apply for more higher position in Army since I like to commit my time on more precious things than using my time on useless tasks which anyone can do it.

  • I would like to answer for further possible question : "When do you go Army?"
->I have to get several licenses before I go apply for higher position in Army. There are also prerequisites you should follow before you apply. It will take about 2~3 months to get licenses and follow prerequisites. And you can't go right after you're accepted. After you apply and being accepted, you go 2~3 months later after division and place are decided by Military Manpower Administration. There are possibilities that I fail in application, then I would like to re-apply although it takes a while. So probably at least 6 months and maximum 12 months. After I enter army, I can't moderating for a month since I have to receive military training. After that, I could use internet but not as much as these days.

aRt)Y wrote:What have bbcodes to do with becoming a moderator?

I don't think Game Moderator's work are related with BBcode pretty much. But since I got personal interest in BBcode after seeing this post Spoiler Issue. Agreements's reply in that post and got interest at first since I wanted to fix my spoiler issue. After your personal message which you sent me after helping with Basic Guidelines for Newly Vouched Players I'm got thrilled while I'm using Codes since the post seems like more organized if codes are used.
I'm not sure this is directly related to BBcode, but I guess it might have a bit relation, so still about to learn more.

I already expected this, so I already wrote a new one as you see. The reason I mentioned this was you could see more information at Prior Application since I didn't just copy and paste, you can check out about more information about me.

If anyone has further curiosity about me, feel free to ask me whatever you want. I will be really glad about replying anything.

Could you list some more non-LTD related ban requests?

I've read about your usage of FCD for DotA; forwarding a replay with FCD and checking the fog log afterwards is kinda useless as you will have at least 95% glitched or bugged clicks. However, at least based on the ID and LTD ones, you seem to know how to use DRM and the unit/object IDs, so it's no big deal.

Furthermore, I would like to say that "less is more" in regards to your bbcode usage. While I appreciate that you are playing around with it to get to know all the tricks and how it works, using font sizes like 120/150 or red color is not needed on a forum (especially in the support section) and causes distraction. Kind of like spamming question marks - makes you look weird :P Knowing when to use it and when it's useful is the key!

*aRt)Y I will gladly post more non-LTD related ban reqeusts, as you requested. I'm okay if I get denied or delayed due to reasonable reasons, since I didn't show many works compared to Game Moderators.

I didn't think it would look silly. Actually, have to admit this is right after I reviewed a few which I linked on application. Since I do like to learn new things, I think I was so interested to show " I do know this. " which it could be seen as weird.(maybe childish as well)

Will keep that in mind.

Any questions to clarify your curiosity are welcomed. While waiting other peoples' opinions, I would go to check more BRQs.

Well starting for the positive points: High activity (which is somehow a negative point for me - It's good for the forum/community that you are indeed very active, but i dont see that as a healthy position though), knows how to use the tools, active on chat, good character, so as in matter of personality, got nothing to point out -> +1

However, i simply can't let go on the "+1" when i got a few things going on while looking at the application:

One of them i can't forget would be this one : https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=49522 - Yes, we can't compare both of them due to the fact one still missed knowledge on drm/tools, and the other got it; However both have the "way too much online" issue + the army issue. One got rejected due to both things, and yet people are "accepting/supporting" this one with sort of the same issue - For me this makes no sense, and its my point of view (I dont mind going in more details if needed, but i guess people can understand the main point).

Another one would be about FCD/DRM clicks (However this one will come with experience - Even i took some time learning about delayed/glitched/bugged clicks so its not a -1 for me due to this, as im sure you can get used to this, simply wanted to mention it) - https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... 54#p215354 - Taking this one as example, in which the clicks weren't legit.

To settle my final decision: I'm standing !neutral (heading towards !support), mostly for the whole situation on time/army - Even if i like you, and enjoy all the work so far, not gonna say it's your case or that you will be like that, still the question in mind is "Will he come back after army?" - It will always be a "?" question without answer for me, as it's uncertain what might happen.

PS: Michael, sorry for not giving full !support, however this is my idea/thoughs about it. You do know i still like you, and enjoy your work/chatting with you ^^ But i wouldn't be fine with myself if i dind't speak it out. Hope you understand :)

Good luck with the app!
