@archol
You're very active in vouch requests, which is good - perhaps you should link some of your recommendations in your app, so it's clearer what process you vouch with.

If you could add a few ban requests, or discussions of bans from LIHL, that would also be illuminating.

just going by recollection I remember this user's posts to be friendly, informative and / or helpful.

My question is do we need more LIHL mods?

Regarding the need of another mod - me and Diablo_ are both active enough to keep up with the application, problematics etc. but it could be good with another mods opinions on certain matters as both supersexyy and iightfyre is rather inactive'ish but if Archol is the one for this I am not sure

Archol you seem like a fair guy in most matters and you have the will to make this league better but I am having my doubt about you as I don't feel you are as mature/wise/smart in all matters as required - I don't really have any real argumentation behind my opinions and I wont stand in the way for approving you if the other mods/players want you but on the other hand I wont vouch for you as I am kinda on the fence here, but the more opinions on you the better
So all who think they have an opinion on Archol being lihl mod please comment

Also Archol what do you feel you need to help with? as it seems to me you mostly want to make the community bigger and better by finding new players - and I still think you can do that without being a mod (very appreciated though) - maybe even an official new rank could be invented (LIHL teacher or smth. like this) as I feel it would fit you better :I (brainstorming here lol)

First of all I want to say that you are obviously a nice, friendly and fair player.
However, I'm a bit uncertain if you really are fit for a Mod position. I just got the feeling that you lack commitment a bit and judging by your app you pretty much only want to "hire" new players? For example I don't remember that you actively took part in discussions on important matters and such and you also repetitively say that you are going to stop playing LIHL, the last time like 2-3 days ago? :P

I'm not saying you would be a bad Mod and it's very cool that you want to help making LIHL bigger, but I'm not sure if accepting you as a Mod will be of much use, sorry.

Nonetheless, let's see what the community says.

@archol Could you please add some past contributions to LIHL policy discussions or vouch requests you have helped critique to better demonstrate what exactly you would bring to the table as a moderator?

Here's some questions that I (and I'm sure other LIHL members) would like to see addressed by moderators incumbent or current:
What do you plan to do about the vouch quality without decreasing recruitment? Even Diablo_ is shying from playing with certain members he himself vouched, but currently the official take on vouches leaves no cushion for newly vouched players to grow - they join and immediately dive to 800 ELO without fail, dragging all team-mates with them. What do you propose we do?

What do you suggest LIHL to do about afkers who are signed?

What do you propose for LIHL's policy direction regarding generally considered "unskilled" players at the end of each season?

I support - I think Junzzi and Iight aren't active any more.
3 mods seems to be a nice number to share the day to day workload.

Judging by your app my main concern is that you might not do any Moderator work except looking for new players, in which case I don't see a real benefit in accepting you. The worst case would be another quite inactive Mod who would just delay discussions and decisions and that's what I'm worried about.
So my question is, would you also do the "standard" Moderator work (checking vouch requests, dc penalties, rule breaks, doing announcements, discuss changes etc.) on an almost daily basis?
Personally, I would only want a new Moderator who is very active so the daily workload will equally split between us 3 and to always allow taking fast actions whenever needed.

They will need to apply via the forum regardless, no one is being accepted without doing so. If they are too lazy to apply it just shows that they don't have much interest in LIHL (and would also not read the rules etc).

If that is what you wish
Now I'll look into the possibility of getting a secondary rank for you with the intention of advertising the league and recruit as many new players as possible if this could be of your interest?

I wouldn't say anyone is doubting your intentions, it's just that you aren't making your intentions very clear. That's how I feel at least :P
Comments like ...
...(depending how much you want from me)
...still give me the feeling that you don't really want to do the other Mod work and only focus on finding new players. That's how it looks to me, but if I'm wrong and you make it very clear that you will also do the other tasks I stated regularly out of own interest I would be fine with accepting you.
But if you "only" want to find new players and perhaps help at vouch requests I don't see a reason to make you a Mod. Again, we would all be happy if you do find new players etc. but that's nothing what a Mod rank is needed for.

@archol Since there is currently no progress, I suggest you clearly state again whether you are open to moderation/administrative work or if you dont.

The workload can be discussed once we received a clear answer.

Looks like Archol left us (for now). If you want to become a "full" Moderator with everything connected to it, I would be happy to see you reapplying.
And again, thanks for offering your help, even if you are gone now.
