Hi I was wondering why the leaver bans are so intense in dota bots.
If you leave one game you get banned for like a day and a bit. I don't leave games very often maybe like one a week. I have a life and sometimes this requires me to leave. Have you considered changing the ban time to like a constant 2 hour ban per leave ensuring that you cannot play another game for leaving and that you must have left for a legitimate reason. This ban system would be in line with dotacash which I feel most dota players view as fair.
Thanks for taking the time to read my complaint

Re: Bans
Other people have a life too . The game you're gonna leave may be the game they'll play for the day or the week.
In fact the "leave system" on ENT is pretty lenient .
If you know you may have to leav a game you began , then don't play a multiplayer game.
I stopped playing dota for some month cause I could be called any day any time .

Re: Bans
Our ban system takes into account stay rate, number of games played, and ban history. If you have a very high stay rate, have played many games, and have no bans in the last week for instance, you won't even get a ban.
PS, I can't really find a "main" account for you (via IP lookup) so if you are just creating new accounts all the time, yes ban lengths will be long because you haven't played many games on each account.

Re: Bans
If you have to leave for a legitimate reason, you can appeal the ban in the Ban Appeals section, and it will probably get removed unless you leave a lot. If you didn't have a legitimate reason.. Well then you deserve the ban
.
Leaving ruins the game for the other players. Winning 5v4 or 5v3 is sooo hard. Try not to leave any game.
However, I know this can be impossible. Sometimes something unexpected comes up and you must leave. The ban isn't even that bad, just take it and wait it out. I've been banned like 10 times for dc and leaving too.
You might want to try making a main account. The bans will be 0-3 hours if you have a main with a good stay%.

Re: Bans
1) It depends on what game it is.
2) Stats counting will depend on what game it is and it depends if the rest of the people finish the game or all leave and the game ends (for instance, if you leave at 1 minute, but everyone else stays to minute 10, your stay rate for that game is 10%. This will then be averaged into your stay rate.)

If you deem that you may have insufficient time for additional games, why join the game?
When you eventually prematurely leave the game, what about the other 9 players?
If I were to do this to you, how would you feel?
