I was once banned for choosing an unannounced mode on LTD 1v1. (I did not know this rule back then)
The opponent won the game.
I was banned for 5 days and said nothing, cuz it was fair since I broke the rules.

Now this guy fucked me for 25 ELO with a completely tailored for himself mode.
He is banned for 12 hours (that he is probably going to be asleep and even not notice it).

How come?

Setting a mode that is non-hpgmcb without announcement = ban duration between 12-2 days.

Ban duration depends on the mode they set (playable, fair, troll, way different than hpgmcb, etc etc).

We usually ban 12-1 day for first offense and stack it up from there.

If you were banned for 5 days, you were banned for something else.

Players are all free to appeal and get unbanned or ban reduced through appeals.

So how does "we ban for 2-12 days" and "You were banned for 2 days" translate into 12 hours?

We treat each ban cases individually.

The duration of the ban is dependent on mod's judgement and review of the case.

Whether a mod simply gives a warning short ban or a long ban depends on his review of the case.

Your intentions were way clearer to "ruin" the game:
