admin Beepboopbeep abusing glitch or his powers?

Hey all,
As the reigning #1 on the pub bots in legion td I was a bit bored and wanted to check out how the nr 2 was passing his time, as it's been a while since I saw him in the lihl, so I spotted the following replay:

So, basically beepboopbeep disconnects after 7 minutes and his team appears to win after 20 something minutes. The way I recall the elo rules, only winning within 3 minutes can making a disconnector part of the elo gaining team, in all other occassions the dc'er will get a dc penalty.

So I'm thinking that either this is a bug/glitch, which he abuses, as he as an elo hunting player and legion admin should be very well aware of the elo rules, or that he abuses his admin powers, for elo purposes. Which of them is it?

As a moderator, I can assure you we do not have the ability to affect how elo is distributed. That is something above our pay grade, I'm afraid.

Before u showed the score on the forums, I'm absolutely certain the dcers who dced before 3 min before the win got an elo penalty, happened sometimes to me right before winning where I lost massive amounts of elo.

As Palsgraf said this is not an abuse of admin power, it would appear that it is a glitch, or are you saying that you changed the elo rules for dcers without notifying the community of it?

@cyber That's why I felt it was important to adress it, as Ent should not suffer any rumours about unfair admins. So I'm doing this as much to clarify on this as anything else. I hope it is a glitch, but I cannot see how he could not see it as a glitch, and should as an admin imo feel obliged to report it himself, as the fairgamer I'm sure he is as an admin..

This was a bug that was fixed a long time ago. In the past, leavers were marked as part of the losing team, messing up the score calculation (this is completely different from an ELO penalty).

It's your own problem if you didn't notice the bug was fixed until now.

I love how you phrase it as a bug that was fixed a long time ago, rather than saying you changed the rules regarding dcers without notifying the community of it.

Well I'm really glad this clears the integrity of BeepBoopBeeps conduct in this case, and is only a result of your own "bugfixing" or bad communication, depending on how you view it.

It was a bug. The leaver was consider to be ON THE LOSING TEAM in the score calculation. That means that the ELO +/- numbers on the games page would no longer hold after the game since it would be like 5v3 in the score calculation instead of the original balancing with 4v4. This doesn't make any sense, so of course it should have been fixed (and was).

There was never any ELO penalty for disconnectors. The fact that leavers were all considered to be on the losing team did result in a decrease in ELO for leavers, but this is was a result of a bug and not a feature, because doing this makes no sense and ruins the ELO formula completely.

There was a complaint about it by Raizen IIRC and it was fixed. If you didn't look at the complaint then that's your problem, but there's no reason to notify the community every time we fix a bug in the bots. Moving to processed.
