What I think you're missing is the intent the rules were created for. They're there to keep the players from harming each other and ruining the game. There was no harm done by this votekick so there's no need to take action against him. We don't have a "Zero-Tollerance" policy here or something like that, we judge each ban request case by case. Don't get what your point about hindsight is. All bans are done looking back (unless there's an admin ingame), and you also made your ban request after the moment passed, giving you a chance to look in hindsight.
