Merge with BGN

Blink Gaming Network's Warcraft III division will be merging into ENT. This means that all BGN staff and bots will soon be transfering over to ENT.

We have come to this decision with BGN to continue our mission of providing a quality hosting service for the Warcraft III community. Joining with BGN will help to achieve this in many ways: First, we'll have increased capability for providing new features with a larger and more active development team. Second, the combined player base will be larger, meaning games will fill faster and more advanced matchmaking may be possible. Third, staff will be able to more efficiently and effectively respond to ban appeals, ban requests, and complaints.

We don't anticipate any significant issues during the transition. In a couple of weeks, we'll start hosting maps such as Island Defense and NWU, in addition to adding rules for those games. Eventually, BGN Warcraft III support forums and host bots will be shut down, and BGN will begin putting an increased focus on other games such as Minecraft, DotA 2, and Counter Strike.

Policies will generally remain the same.

Please welcome the incoming players and staff!

If you have any questions, contact us via the chat room (Chat tab on the menu bar) or ask in this topic.

Thanks,
- ENT staff

When is this merge going to happen?
Blinkgaming.net is still the same as always, can't even find anything about the merge on their website.

Yes, they're supposed to have posted about it last weekend...
The Warcraft III related BGN things will be put into an archive on their website, so that they can focus on other games that their admin team is still interested in such as Minecraft and Counter Strike.

As far as the timeline goes, the staff has already been merged, and some host bots have been added to ENT. We are planning on adding the rest of the host bots to ENT by the end of the month, and then shutting down BGN's host bots.

They either ignore the posts in the BGN staff forum or simply don't care anymore/reached the ultimate level of inactivity.

As I said on the ts meeting, they'll need a month until it's announced. :|
