@[G-Dragon] I told coco to type in korean if he wants to communicate better. Also Coco ban dodged because he didn't know how to speak english so couldnt navigate the forums. He told me multiple times he didn't know what else to do because he couldn't post an appeal. Took me a few hours just to help him register/write appeal so I don't think he should be punished for dodging.

Maybe someone else can translate better but for now here's my translation
I like Island Defense so I played from Korea server and made a clan but because the popularity was fading I came here (to useast/ent). I really like the game and have never used maphack. I played for a long time so I know the game well so some beginners may misunderstand. There are players I frequently see and I recognize their playstyle which has caused some misunderstandings but I have never maphacked. Please watch the replays before being suspicious.


Second screenshot he says he couldn't do anything but dodge because he cant communicate. I asked him if the only reason he's dodging is because he can't speak english (so can't defend himself) and he says yes.

First screenshot he says he only dodged because he was banned unfairly, otherwise he would never do it.

the initial ban on coco was invalid/not enough evidence. I think coco should be pardoned for dodging his ban.

The maphack request will be reviewed. May be more lenient on the dodge if it's found he was not maphacking. As long as he does not dodge again now that he is aware of the consequences.

Preface: Maphack bans need to be confirmed by a second moderator before it gets processed.

1) Av1on banned coco for maphack
2) WC3 patch updated
3) Unless a mod hasn't updated yet or has two versions, most mods can't watch the replay (also because theres no warcraft version switcher out for 1.28 atm)
4) Therefore, ban can't be confirmed or appealed by a lot of the mods
5) coco plays like 24/7 so every day of him being banned is pretty devastating for him.

Bottom line: Since there is no official procedure for this special case, I think we should unban coco until the maphack replay is reviewed and appeal is processed (we can also discuss the ban dodge situation later after we unban him first)

@Av1on Thoughts?

Since @Haunt is our oversight staff with the most ID experience, I'll tag you too, in case maybe you have the 1.28 patch still.

Defense for coco's ban dodge

Put yourself in coco's shoes

1) You go to korean ID servers
2) Play a few games
3) Get banned for maphack even though you think you're innocent
4) Find out it is 1 year ban
5) You can't read korean, don't know how to make ban appeal on the korean site

Your options:
1) Wait one year to play ID again
2) Dodge the ban
coco chose the second option

I have both patches downloaded and will be reviewing the ban request within the next 24 hours. In addition, I could screenshare the replay with other mods who cannot access it themselves. @cocow3 Until this situation is resolved, do not ban dodge again. Doing so will lead to more consequences.

Approximately 2 hours after creating this appeal, coco dodged the ban as 488641#useast. So after posting an appeal and telling us that he will wait till this is resolved, he decides to take things in to his own hands and do whatever he feels like. Basically this shows that he thinks he is above the system and can do whatever he wants. If you don't want to play by our rules, guidelines and policies, don't play here.

You may appeal again on 11th July.
