Game Name: [ENT] DotA apem us/ca #14
Your Warcraft III Username: Animadversion
Violator's Warcraft III Username: MianMianHae
Violated Rule(s): Maliciously using spells.
Time of Violation (in-game or replay): Watch Techies from 16:00 to 17:36.
Any further thoughts: Techies used mines to block all our neutral camps from spawning so that we couldn't farm them.
Initial Ban Request: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=89108
MianMianHae's perplexing Ban Appeal: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=89113
Using mines as a techies to permanently block all allied neutral camps from future spawns for the sole purpose of preventing your own team from being able to farm in order to ''force them to push'' is utterly unjustifiable and anyone with half a brain should agree.
I don't wish to offend anyone with that last expression but surely someone can empathize with my incredulity at this point. I mean, how can anyone honestly argue that this is legitimate thing to do to your own team?
Please review again and reconsider.

I honestly cant believe he was unbanned. Looked at his game history and he plays tech a LOT. So many reasons this is game ruining and his whole team agreed. First it was early/mid game I think around 16 min and his team is telling him NOT to mine neutrals, but he says it's because he wants team to push, and he's mining neutrals when they have nevermore on their team. It's hilarious that a techies of all is mining neutrals at 16 min mark and demanding team pushes, when he gets lothars....this guy is not new to the game and if I had a teammate that did that I would post ban for sure. Re-ban this guy for sure. Btw he regularly gets lothars first item it seems with techies, he seems like bad teammate and troll.

Well although i can understand your point, he appealed his ban and explained his point of view (If it's okay to do so? obviously not, but he saw it as a way of making his team realize what they had to do - Maybe next time he should have done it differently, but we all have our faults sometimes (no1 is perfect anyways); However a moderator (Beerlord) already informed him that's not okay to do, and it's expected from that player, to have learned not to do it again in the future + if he's seen doing the same again, his next ban will not be as lenient as the first one, considering he now knows what he did is not okay, and what he should do different).
In all honesty, i find it a bit silly that a techies is demanding a team push at 16 minutes with the team they had, so in the future @mianmianhae communicate better with your team, and don't blackmail/force your team to push, by breaking the rules (If your team still won? Sure they did, but was that really necessary? i dont think so), or you might find yourself reported again (and banned if it comes down to it).
tl;dr - Just communicate better: Demanding a team push at early game (when you have a LC, a void and a Nevermore, which do need farm at early stages of the game, might not compensate your team's farm/winning chance, at all) + breaking the rules (or annoying your team ^^), is never a way to get your team to cooperate with you, for sure xd

Well, first of all I handled this poorly, and for that I apologize @wewoneno. I was correct in banning him, and I think after hearing his point of view it was reasonable to unban him, but it should have come with a warning. The way I did it was in effect to let him off the hook with no consequences. This was clearly a mistake, and I appreciate you taking the time to resubmit this. Mining your own forest to prevent your team from farming is without a doubt not allowed, and I will give @MianMianHae the benefit of the doubt one time. But you have been warned, and should it happen again you will be banned and we will be much less lenient. Find less destructive ways to communicate with your team please.
Re: [DOTA] mianmianhae@uswest.battle.net (Re-post)
I disagree with the decision to unban him on the basis that he was vehemently unapologetic in his appeal from start to finish and refused to admit any wrongdoing. And the final verdict similarly seemed to suggest that there wasn't really anything wrong with what he did simply because he saw it differently, and because the rules do not explicitly say that he's not allowed to do what he did. At least I suspect he might still see it that way. However, I still accept and appreciate your clarification and I will not pursue any further action. Thank you for responding.
Edited to add:
Also, his entire appeal was just riddled with excuses and absurd non-sequiturs, unironically comparing himself to famous football/soccer player Zinedine Zidane and made references to superhero movies as part of his argument, because of course everyone can relate to that, right? Puffing himself up as the savior of the game and putting himself on a pedestal. He even managed to bring WWII into it and fell just short of outright calling you (the moderator) a Nazi for disagreeing with him. Despite his horrible grammar (and don't even get me started on that), this arguably made for an interesting read, but ultimately I think his goal was to muddy the waters. So basically, how does all this stuff get overlooked in a Ban Appeal? He should be begging for forgiveness and say he will never do anything like this again. I just felt like adding this for the hilarity.
