Any further thoughts:
I first noticed that he wasn't playing at 29:32 where he let his afk status exceed 4 mins and then moved. After several more minutes he moved to tower in base and afked. Then he went afk at top rune.
I think he was responding and moving when he was attacked at bottom lane (~39) but I highly suspected that he was just trying to attract attention so that we would help and die one at a time, but that's just me thinking the worst (I think).
An afk ban is one thing, but this is a player that has played a lot of dota. He was intentionally avoiding the afk ban and ruining the game by even denying us access to his gold.

hes played more than 1500 games here, you shoulda known by now hes like that...we, the regulars, are used to it..

Exactly, so a three day ban will mean next to nothing to him. Maybe he needs something on the order of several weeks, or an IP ban for a week. The whole point of the ban system is to punish players that ruin the game and discourage them from doing it again. Saying "oh well, you should have known he would do that" is the same as saying the system won't work. I like to think the system still works.

although i agree with you about the problem of the ban policy, punishment and approaching any kind of offence, let me say this; its futile to ban him for two weeks or a month or a year..he will just ban dodge..way i see it, the system of course doesnt work, it never did...i dont know whos to blame for that, but the sad truth is that it works, in best case, occasionally..and we have to accept it and move on with our gaming lives..
