Forfeit Poll
As suggested in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=72&t=12356
The idea is that it must be possible for players to surrender/forfeit in a game if all players agree.
This means that if all players agree on forfeit, they type !ff (or !forfeit), after which the game will be recorded as a loss and everyone can leave.
Do you agree with this idea? Please post any comments and arguments below.

You don't stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing.

Re: Forfeit Poll
I voted "Yes". I reckon I will never use this option myself, because I believe it is always possible to still win, but if others are willing to give me a win I'm fine with it!!

Why should a pro/hardcore gamer, EVER at any point give up? Aren't we ALL playing to WIN?
It's not much sportmanship, to forfeit, in a game like LTD, where ANYTHING can happen...

Voted !yes
Few games are definitely not worth ending.. mostly 1v2 or even 1v3.
I would rather ff and go for next game - Many other wc3 games has the !FF function.. I can't see why we can't it in LIHL aswell

As every win should be earnt not given.
These should be every players mentality. Never give up! In a league full of "pros" (supposedly) why in the world would you want to give up? I played games where our team was supposed to win (90% chance), but yet we lost and also in games where our team was supposed to lose (90%) yet it didn't happen and we won. It won't always happen, but never give up and try to change the outcome of the game.

???
In chess you are allowed to surrender at any time and its considered very bad sportsmanship to continue play in 100% lost situations.
We are all young, lets not waste life on lost games

Explain your logic to chess players.

Dont compare chess to LTD, since chess is a 1v1 bord-game within a limited frame of options, with just 8x8 positions. LTD has so many more statistical difference, first if all being 4v4, where every person have around 6*6 - (17/17)*(16/17)*(15/17)*(14/17)*(13/17)*(12/17)*6*6 ~ 22,71 towers each. With 100+ positions to place them at, with each a different attack style, armor type, special ability, making some units better against each of the 31 rounds. It's more possible outcomes than a Rubics cube and chess added up, that there is in this game I'm quite confident off. Since there is 8 people to chose from 22.71 towers, 5 attack types, 5 armor types, 4-6 special abilities to place on 100+ spaces and combine with already bought units. And not to mention 32 units to send, on any chosen of the 31 rounds with all different attack style and armor. Where chess only have 6 units that can move 6 ways in a 8x8 board. Hope this gives an idea why not to compare chess with LTD, and why all then possibilities in LTD makes it impossible to be 100 % confident who wins. Since anything can really happen. ^^,
Re: Forfeit Poll
I`ve had many situations where we were beaten on income & value but regardless of all that we had won those games due good teamplay and right decisions after r20. Yes its a low chance but failures are easely made. Never give up, try and win; besides all that you learn from mistakes. If you forfeit your mistakes you cannot learn from them.

If think this is an example of such a game, where east was leading ultimately, but west saving long and hard enough to wipe them out, winning an 'already' lost game, at least if you'd compare value, income and scores. But the right amount of sending, on the right level wipes out almost any team:

Clever said, and this a chess player would also say, that you learn most from a lost game. ^^,
Re: Forfeit Poll
Moral lectures_lol. Then dont type forfeit and accept the huge advantage you are getting from other players forfeiting you wins

Just for your information, they still haven't managed using best computers available to compute the total chess moves possible when the game starts.
But I will agree, do not compare chess with LTD, chess is a sport, highly respected, with no luck factor, that the brightest and most trained mind will win, as he will make the less mistakes. LTD is a casual fun game that involves some tactical thinking, some basic knowledge of the towers and obviously luck.
I would be opposed to a forfeit poll probably, as I hate surrendering but I can totally understand people that want it implemented.

Even in "lost situations" - I think players should continue to play. Coming back from behind is the best way to learn imo! Maybe players can come up with new strats too!
Play it out imo
