DC Penalty

Postby iightfyre » Wed May 29, 2013 3:55 pm

Team -

The DC penalty has been implemented! Now, when a player has a suspicious DC from a game you can post in the LIHL forum to have the ELO adjusted! The mods will be responsible for adjusting the ELO as it will not be handled automatically (so that no one will get punished for bot crashes, etc.). The numbers will be approx a 20 ELO loss for a DC player and a +4 elo gain for every player who !draw the game. These are approximate numbers as they change depending on the number of players in the game.

Remember that you must bring this to a Moderator's attention if you want the ELO adjusted.

Happy gaming!

PS - We will need a link to the game in order to adjust the ELO. Here is an example of an appropriate link: https://entgaming.net/findstats.php?id=1437257

I really hope this will work out and your faith in the LIHL-community will pay off (as opposed to my pessimism). You guys deserve it after all the trouble you went through the last couple of days!!

Note: all games that are remotely suspicious will get an elo penalty. If you were obviously losing and genuinely DCed then bad luck.

So both team players get +4 elo for drawing or just the team with still 4 players?

Both teams. Since it's a waste of everyone's time, everyone is given a small ELO boost for playing to a !draw. Only the person who DCs get penalized.
