if the better player takes the leavers items for himself, is it bannable?
similarly if the hard carry on the team refuses to take item for himself is it bannable?
I've played a few games as support where i tell the hard carry to take all items. (i do not personally know any of the players and i was not playing favorites) the hard carry says "no team sell" and he sells the leaver items, distributing the gold among a team of 2 support, 1 semi carry, 1 hard carry. this is game throwing in my opinion.

Re: item stealing
ugh... but you know how we dota players are. we care about the results, not intentions!
Re: item stealing
However, intentions matter when you take the rules into account. Going 0/10 because you're a bad player is VERY different than running into the towers and purposefully feeding, and going 0/10. One is bannable. The other is not.
Yeah taking leaver items should not be bannable, unless you like take them and then AFK in the corner to throw game.

Re: item stealing
you say intentions but when i play the hard carry and im carrying my sub par team, i should obviously take the leaver items to maximize our chances of winning. However, sometimes i do this and some idiot support (one time a fuckn crystal maiden did this) would rage at me. he than goes to throw the game despite me taking the items with very good intentions.
and honestly whether i play support or carry, i always steal the leaver items on my courrier so that if I'm playing support, i give it all to hard carry, and if im the carry i take it all.
if i ask the team " can i take or can pl take all items", it diverts all the noobs attention to the leaver and 90% of them time, one of them will control leaver to team sell it. and than they keep quiet when i say "who team sold?" because theres no way of getting caught.

There is no violation for anyone grabbing and/or sell leaver's items as mentioned by uakf.b
However, there is a sure way of identifying the 'culprit' or prick during the replay (but not in game).

And the time you will ask they sell everything like idiot. Like I have boot of speed/fury on pa. And the leaver have Tread, dont sell tread. Give it to Pa, so he can sell his boot, get money to engage HoD or BKB build. But the time you ask it. They will one : team sell it. Two : They will get it.FTHGN wrote:But it is bad mannered if u don't ask before
Also, it's like Warlock have refresher, Rhasta Agahnim staff. Rhasta leave. Selling agah will ruin your game, giving it to warlock make you win. But half people think this way. Much will get the item and sell it for his own money and buy other stuff.
Re: item stealing
That happens anyway? In 99% of games were a team is loosing its allways only the other teammembers fault. So yeah maybe i am a little bit to old fashioned for it but it still annoys me if one of those Pros grab everything he needs and take it for himself without asking then sells the rest what he don't need.
