help, dota 2

Postby jebebe » Sun Feb 10, 2013 12:58 pm

Ive tried several times to join a game, it works but when the game is loading it take ages and then i sort of get kicked back to the main menu again and that happens every time. Just to let you know its a netbook.
When using my laptop i cant even start dota 2, cos it says that some error occured. I dont know whats wrong? I can play Dota on b-net with my laptop without any problems, so i dont think my laptop sucks ^^
Maybe someone knows whats wrong, or shall i just give up trying :)
Thanks

Your laptop can't run it. Is option 1.

Option 2. Reinstall Dota2.

(In case option 2 was the solution) : Reduce the graphic value in the option menu of Dota2. Maybe it would help you out.

Otherwise. It's option one that win. So you should give up.

Dota 1 is not comparable to dota2. Cause if you can run wc3, you can run ''almost'' every custom game till it doesn't mass a ton of creep and your comput shut down or massive lag. (WmW mass sending for exemple). Dota, a game that doesn't mass. Is like running wc3... That can be run on window 95... Telling you a lot. Compared to Dota2, the spec are.. Big big big, different :). Still, I don't like the play of dota2. I prefer the oldschool :P

Ok i will try to reinstall dota2 on my laptop. What about my netbook? Cos its sort of working i just get kicked back all the time. When i applied for this invite dota2 thing, this program checked my netbook, how much space i have, GB, mhz and so on, according to that program i was able to play. Sorry if i dont make any sense, i dont know all the "computer terms" ^^
Or maybe I should just stick to wc3 dota :)

If you're planning on buying a compt. Do a custom one, for your need!

Here's my spec and I can run any game at ultra or best graph allowed on the game, Bf3(most needed on computer power on market)/Crysis/Sims3/SimCity/FarCry3 etc. Without any issues on it :

Tower (yes you got to buy a tower) : ThermalTake V9 Black Edition. Google it, i've got the one without the ''window'' on the side :P.
Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570 CPU 3.40 ghz (I'm NOT doing overclocking)
MemoryDDR (RAM) : 16 go
OS: windows 8 64bit
Local Space : 500go (not need much for now)
Graphique card : Nvidia Geforce GtX 660

Note to go check with an expert, you have to get the good powersupply, etc etc. Just giving my spec, there's more to buy then only these ^^.

Enjoy asking question about what is needed for wich use etc.

Some question might be over my knowledge, sorry. Still, I will try to help you out :)

No problem mate, Dota 2 is not cheap. You require a Powerfull PC at last a 2.5ghz Dual core possibly and a Goof Videocard, (at last 256mb)
