I was just glancing at all of the top players ranging from top 10 to top 40 and I noticed that many of them haven't played in well over a month or two. Do you think it is right to leave them in such high places even though they do not even play anymore? I feel like a good percentage of Ent players either stopped playing or moved to dota 2 and I think it is a little unfair that their stats are still being represented among the top players. I think it would be good if there was a cut, in other words, after not playing at least one ent dota game in over 2 or more months, their stats should no longer clog the leader boards. I do see potential issues with this proposition, but then again, I feel that there are people who actually play on ent and would like to see their names being adequately represented without having to beat 30 old accounts first.
I know this suggestion is a little under thought and pretty drastic, but leaving players that abandoned this bot for something else should really not continue to be eternized by this "top players" list. I understand that removing someones stats isn't fair, but I would ask if it is fair to those that still use Ent. And lets be real, if they left ent and haven't played once in over 2 months, do they really care? Anyway, please consider this and I hope you sort of see my point even if you dont change the way things are.
rank 3- noobx42: no games in over 2 months
rank 4- islow: no games since 2/9/13 (1 month 11days)
rank 5- kurosaki-: no games since 2/2/13 (1 month 18 days)
rank 6- adventureclub: no games since 1/16/13 (2 months 14 days)
rank 9- dongspice: no games since 3/2/13 (18 days)
rank 10- irnoobtrainee: no games since 3/4/13 (this last game was the first in over a week)
rank 11- goddontdie: no games since 2/6/13 (1 month 14 days)
rank 13- short-: no games since 2/6/13 (1 month 14 days)
I think you get the idea and I know not all of them have been unoccupied for very long, but the fact that 6 of the top ten are remotely inactive is a little much. The leader boards should display "Active" players, not those that have moved on.

Re: Curiosities
I knew that would be an argument and I don't have much to counter it, but I know half of them and I know they transfered to dota 2. As for a vacation, over 2 months? I doubt that and their personal dota stats reset on their account after 3 months of inactivity even though they remain on the leader board. I just think it is something to take into consideration.

Re: Curiosities
This is a fictional internet game, at least propose a decent comparison. Comparing this to sports is silly, sports have records that are made because they are impossible to be broken and everyone in the hall of fame has the same honor, not everyone has the same honor on the top 10 board, 1 > 2 etc. I don't know why you are so stubborn nutz, instead of ever taking the time to consider something, you let your immaturity and ignorance envelope you. For once, think about what someone is saying before you offer a non-comparable analogy. You really enjoy being the opposition and it is really annoying.Enjoy your inconsiderate opinions, I would still like to see what others have to say and since you gave your opinion already, please let others voice theirs. It was a question, not an invitation for an attack, but thanks anyway. Notice how agreements responded, see any negativity?

Re: Curiosities
Make me laugh. Thanks!
I'm doing comparation cause you look to not understand why top 10 is there. Yes dota isn't a sport. It's an internet sport for some. Competition. Do sport is a competition.. Yes. I'm sorry if I've just break the chance for you to appear in the top 10 more easly. But you said it. They didn't played for over few month. Just beat them, they have static stats.
Still, I have an idea that maybe could be interesting, tell me if that's what you would like to see.
I just suggest something here that cash do. If you are inacitve for more than (amount of month) your account stats should be reset to 0 = 1000 elo and no more game played etc. If this is what you mean to do. I agree with you on this point. Like after 3-4 month, stats should be refreshed to 0 if no game played. Also, we could maybe make a Hall Of Fame aside of the Top10. Top 10 should be for Current active player. Hall Of Fame for record and like, Best player of the years. Exemple the Best on top 10 is Flowersnow, and he keep his place to the first during one year. We put him in Hall Of Fame of ent for being the best dota player in (2012/2013) for exemple... It can be an idea. Also, we could make a Year tournement. And winner can be set in Hall Of Fame as Best Team of the year on ENT bot. Idk
Btw, I'am me, not agreement. See negativity? I've just put a suggestion. I'm not stubborn, I just gave my point. Still, I didn't explained it. Now it's done.

Re: Curiosities
you could have monthly elo and all time elo. so for example if i have 600 elo that would be my all time elo. from the start of april i will have 0 monthly elo but still 600 all time elo. and lets say i play 3 a-bal games during april and lose all 3. i would have 955 monthly elo and 555 all time elo. ALL your games count towards your all time elo but for monthly elo, it would be the games you play during that month.
hence you would have a different top 10 monthly top elo players but the all time elo players would probably still be unchanged.
and than you could have monthly hall of famers.
am i making sense?
and the time period doesnt have to be a month. it can be 3 month periods or 6 months. this seems fair to everyone i think?

Re: Curiosities
I do not believe that stats should be reset just because you take a hiatus, (or permanently move on), it might be fun for them to come back and look to see if anyone eventually passed them in stats. Also, it's nonsensical to delete the stats, if you can't attain the stats to pass someone "better" than you, you don't deserve to pass them just because they went inactive.
Something that could be considered is an "inactive status" that would be applied to the accounts after 30 days that if someone doesn't play in the last 30 days, their account is not calculated in player rank. Their stats are not deleted, but they aren't placed in the rankings. Then, if they play a game, their score is re-figured into the rankings again.
This is how it works with the Swat: Aftermath ranking system, if you go inactive, your account is taken out of the rankings, but the next time you log in again, it is re-figured into the rankings again.

Re: Curiosities
Leader Board is like Hall of Fame and shouldn't be taken away just because they play less games or haven't played at all. It's actually something to show for what they were able to achieve while playing in this server. Also, if you want to beat a "hall of fame`er" you should earn it like the rest of the people on this list have done. Sure they people that still play in this server wants to see their names on the list, But this will give them motivation to practice and get better if they really want to be on top 10. With the stats there, players are able to compare themselves to where they stand in terms of k/d/a / - W/L vs the old/current "top 10". It comes off as being shallow wouldn't u say?
Ex : You have a sponsor for your team and the sponsors paid for every tourney, equipment, advertisement and etc. Then you become the best team and they decide to pull out and sponsor someone else. Shouldn't you just be Thankful for the times they gave you. So in other words,
ENT can just be proud to say... these were our top ENT players and have played this many games to still be remaining in our top 10 list. Thank your for the support over the years.

Re: Curiosities
I would even venture to say it was harder to get a high elo back in the day as compared to now. Now, almost every game I see is stacked, and there are so many 1500+ elo players wandering around that are maybe 900 or 800 elo true skill.
Re: Curiosities
A lot of them play on alternate accounts because they gain like 1 elo for wins and lose like 10 for losses.
Trainee has an alt i'm pretty sure. Yaphet does too. The rest I don't know about.
