How does ENT stay alive?

Postby friendlycraig » Sat Jul 19, 2014 8:30 am

Simply curious about how you fellas stay in business, as it's pretty amazing you supply a nice forum and even nicer hosting bots. I imagine the server costs are pretty high, and I see no ads or banners around. I don't imagine there are huge donations coming in, either. What's the secret? Are your servers powered by a tireless hamster? Does a magical Mirror of Communication cover your bandwidth? Or are the people who play a dozen year old old game seriously generous? Anyone reading this have any other fun theories as to how they stay in service?

I'm pretty sure at the most part Ent is running on double cheeseburgers (maybe some bigmacs)

We stay alive (in my opinion) by providing the best quality of free hosting service available on Warcraft, and by being connected to multiple PVPGN servers.

yeah sure that's ENT's business idea, but they need a way to get income. Is that purely from advertisements and donations?

Most online gaming sites rely on donations. Been in a fffffeeeeeeewwwwww ; generally the owner (setup person) would end up paying more to cover month to month if not enough. Can get expensive very fast - if donations decrease; as the costs stay the same relatively.

I believe 99% of ENT's revenue comes from the ads on the forum.

ENT must be earning quite a bit of money if we can host large scale events like this: viewtopic.php?f=156&t=37774

I personally think that ENT should look into hiring an actual web designer, since ENT is getting really popular, I personally think that the website has the most room for improvement.

We already have a new web design in work.

Yes! This is some great God damn news. I brought https://entgaming.net/ to ENT's attention some time ago, hopefully it can be fixed.
