need clarification on rules for lod
ive been told repeatedly now that game ruining can constitute refusing to accept lane calls even though there is no rule about lane calling being unrevokeable so effectively whoever shouts mid first gets it... to me this doesnt seem right and id like if someone can actually clarify whether refusing to allow whoever shouts mid first gets to go mid is game ruining even if others on the team agree they should do so because of their kdr being better than someone elses?

There aren't any rules regarding 'mid calls'. If you as a team cannot agree on who gets which lane, then you will face such consequences.

Then you were deceived, no such rule exists for dota.
To clarify - It is not ban-able, you will not be banned if you go mid against the wishes of your team. Lane calling hasn't been ban-able before on ENT before and it most likely won't going forward.
If a moderator told you the opposite, perhaps they were misinformed or uncertain on what exactly your question was.

@merex
Those are two different scenarios. What if the team does agree? Wouldn't going mid against the will of every single member of your team constitute refusal to work with team?

Re: need clarification on rules for lod
But it is, to some extent, the same scenario. A team is consisted of all participants, and if one disagrees, then the team clearly doesn't agree.
Not necessarily. Lane calling in itself is an unspoken "agreement" of all parties in dota, but holds no official grounds in the eyes of the rules. The only way to have it validate in junction with game ruining is if there's multiple actions committed by the same player that overall speaks to the nature of the players suspected violation(s).
