Decent players?

Postby pep » Thu Jul 21, 2016 2:50 am

Where are all the decent players, current lobbies are always full of new nobo players. Also why didn't anyone create a fucking good tutorial for this map so the nobos learn quicker? I want to blame this on the whole community if there still is any. Fucking murrifats are even worse than eurotrash nowadays - gg

we're always been talking about guides etc, they will never read guides or look into guides. We're already have some guides in the Guide topic.

We need a simple -tutorial for single player.

Like Capture the flag tutorial, but only triggers in single player, and is cancell-able using {esc} or -exit.

There's only a handful of decent players left, the rest of us that aren't noobs are just simply known as legends.

All my videos are un-monetized, I get no $$$ from it. Although I'll consider making a video tutorial in the near distant future.

    Hi,

It gets tiring carrying the weight of the world. Maybe you euro trash should just do something useful once rather than relying on us?

I could really use a tutorial. I'm having a hard time getting the hang of this map.

I think banvet should be the teacher of all new/inexperienced ID players.

Yesterday I just taught a friend of mine to play ID for the first time. And I never realised how had it is.
      Even the lumber basing part:
      A) Pick a builder and go to a place with small passages and lots of lumber, far from middle.
      B) Build a shelter and fruit trees and make workers, max food is 150, you need 6 fruit trees.
      C) Wall off the passages to the lumber base, so that you can walk out but Titan cannot.
      D) Destroy the fruit trees and build a Research Center, preferably somewhere a little remote or hidden place.
      E) Research the Lumber Acquisition Upgrades and Wall Hit Point Upgrades.
      F) All the time explaining why you do that for.
      G) Tell him that when Titan comes he should detonate all workers as fast as possible, so Titan does not get feed.
      H) Leave the lumber base and go to gold or base.

That is extremely difficult gameplay already, and it's the easiest part of ID, and I even skipped things as "full detonation" or IJ over certain wall spots, since they would be too much to take in at once.

      Then golding:
      A) You get gold from middle, but it's very dangerous.
      B) You only gold when you know you're safe.
      C) Titan has a wind walk and he can teleport to the gold mound.
      D) When you don't know where titan is stay inside the walled areas around middle.
      E) When you get enough gold or Titan gets a minion it's basically good idea to leave, as they can +/- combo you down with Nuke.
      F) Prevent an item jump yourself because a titan tried to IJ into the walls we were in, and that wouldn't be so nice for him.
      G) Tell what you need gold for and what you can use it on.

And through all this (this is the part I skipped) he needs to know that each Titan is different, what happens when Titan e.g. pearls over his lumber base, or if Titan attacks his lumber base when he is still making it -> Run to a seed. Each builder is different with different play styles and towers/walls and escape abilities. Basically what I told him is that "This is not true, but let's say each builder is similar and each titan is similar" just for the simplicity of the things.
