Re: Remaining known DotA 6.83d bugs
weaver swarm cant be used with hotkey anymore if he dies once after having it skilled The problem is actually Geminate Attack, which also uses the hotkey "R". After dying once having it skilled, Geminate Attack turns from a passive skill to an active one (!), effectively taking over the h...

Re: Remaining known DotA 6.83d bugs
Radiance AoE stays in place for ~5 seconds after Phoenix dies in his egg form. (reported by Frank) [Unconfirmed] It also works with Pandaren Brewmaster's splitting ult. But only with the Earth elemental. If I remember right it's a big longer than 5 seconds, but less than 10. Never counted it. Can c...

Re: Remaining known DotA 6.83d bugs
Roshan's stomp spell can be heard globally which gives a away the fact that the enemy is roshing In Warcraft III 1.30 Blizzard attempted to replace the 3rd party "Miles Emulated 3D" sound engine that they've been using for 20 years with their own, newly written "FMOD" sound engi...

Re: Remaining known DotA 6.83d bugs
If you bottle a rune with a courier and transfer it to your hero without first using the bottled rune the bottle becomes unusable for the rest of the game so essentially stuck with 5 invy slots. I just tested this one. It's normally impossible to transfer or drop bottled runes (Haste, Regeneration,...

Re: Remaining known DotA 6.83d bugs
I can surely report a graph glitch when i m playing Abbadon against someoner who picks Silencer. When Silencer casts "Last Word" to Abbadon and Abba has already shield spell on himslef it creates a permanent graph glitch of Last Word on him which cant be removed until the end. This is vis...

Remaining known DotA 6.83d bugs
As you may all know, I recently revisited the map and started working on known bug that have been long due. So far, the following have been resolved and released: ⋅ Fixed a miscalculation of AoE gold when killing Arc Warden ⋅ Fixed Templar Assassin’s Refraction ⋅ Fixed ...

Re: [Official] DotA Player Behavior Reports & Improvement Submissions
@h3rmit what is Antimaphack Shield in your signature? This would spark up another great discussion. It was a complex system I developed for another community (MyMGN) back in 2014-2018, to ensure that no players were using a maphack or any other form of disallowed hacks. To join games, players had t...

Re: [Official] DotA Player Behavior Reports & Improvement Submissions
You seem to be missing Oracle/Aghs Tiny (and probably some other weird cases like Slark during ulti and Lycan while transformed) and it assigns "Bad" to those heroes no matter the score. That's actually cause the publicly available data of ENT that I'm using are also missing them. For ins...

Re: [Official] DotA Player Behavior Reports & Improvement Submissions
All graphs were generated using publicly available information. Your opinion may be a little biased cause you're mostly in the zone between a "Good" and a "Great" player. When looking down, the gameplay of average players may look too bad from your perspective. Hexar is mostly a ...

Re: [Official] DotA Player Behavior Reports & Improvement Submissions
Since we are talking about improvement, how about we have a look at hard, undisputable facts and statistics. First of all, the ELO system is flawed. ⋅ Initially designed for chess, it was never meant to be used in competitive team games. Especially in open ecosystems with free registration...

Re: ban these people please
Having experienced it many times firsthand, I completely agree that it is very disruptive for the game, and makes it unplayable and unbearable. I also agree that it's very unfair for the other 9 players, and this is exactly my point: This whole situation stems from the bot's attempt to make the game...

Re: ban these people please
Wow, forcing someone to choose between paying for a monthly internet subscription, buying new hardware, or getting banned? Considering that the player himself is accepting to play a 25-game, probably on old hardware, while having spikes that affect him much more than they affect the other players, I...

Re: About Lanaya
I watched the replay carefully. I can't really tell what happened, and I certainly can't pin it on Lanaya. Observations 1. There were two enemy skills that could immobilize players in your team in an area, on their own: Techies' Stasis Trap and Medusa's Stone Gaze. 2. You all happened to be in the s...

Re: About Lanaya
It's been an entire week of testing and debugging. I've set up a local environment to run 2 Warcrafts and 2 WC3Connect clients at the same time, and I've performed more than 50 tests to debug what is actually happening with Refraction. The design of Refraction is very poor, and there are several mis...

Re: About Lanaya
Mostly, desyncs are caused by unsafe use of GetLocalPlayer(), usually when attempting to display SFX to only one person. True. But this isn't one of those cases. If it was, the map would have been desyncing in all Warcraft III versions for a decade. The investigation so far has narrowed down the de...
